NUS Events - Students can now browse the events by category and organization type. Users can now email their favourite events details to their friends. Web Tutorials - The idea is to give a quick overview to new users and to help lecturers become productive quickly through our selfrunning demos on IVLE using viewlets. and many enhancements to the existing tools and resources. Enhancements made to existing functionalities are based on feedback from staff and student users. V7.3 December 2003 V7.2 July 2003 V7.0 June 2002 When lecturers log into their version 7 workspace, they cannot help but notice the new vibrant interface that is introduced. It maintains elements of the previous Workspace layout while at the same time providing greater clarity and easy of use. At the same time, they will be welcomed to IVLE with a pop-up window. This window provides links to some Flash movies and wizards. The idea is to give a quick overview to new users and to help lecturers become productive quickly. Apart from the feature rich functionalities already found in version 6, many new features have also been introduced: GradeBook - provides lecturers with a consolidated record of students' grades for activities online. Project tool - Enables lecturers to create project topics, assign groups to topics and even enable student to student evaluation of projects.

Survey Tool - this stripped down version of the Assessment tool enable staff to setup online survey or survey questionnaire to be used for project evaluation. Wizards - empower lecturers to setup tools quickly through a set of easy to follow procedures. Enhancements made to existing functionalities are based on feedback from staff and student users. One good example would be the email notification that staff would now receive when the IVLE tool which they setup is three days away from the closing date. As with most features in IVLE, the lecturer can decide to switch off this email notification. V6.0 July 2001 This latest version of IVLE maintains the already familiar interface introduced in version 5.0 while at the same time extending on what was available. The biggest leap for the IVLE platform would be the introduction of professionally developed contents from international publishers like McGraw Hill and Thompson Learning. With just a few clicks, lecturers can now adopt such supplementary contents into the course. Lecturers can also register students from other institutions as guests to their courses through IVLE. This allows lecturers to potentially open up their classes to interactions with students from all over the world. Familiar tools like the assessment, webcast lecture and multimedia tool have also been reworked. Better graphical assessment reporting helps lecturers get a good picture of how students are progressing through the course. Improvements to the in-line editing components mean that equations and pictures can now be included easily. The image bank located at the Multimedia tool helps lecturers manage and reuse graphics for their course. The other features include interfaces for multilingual support, integrated whiteboard, personal to do list and events organiser and links to many important NUS resources. The student workspace include links to: Faculty specific student services Complete listing of all offered NUS modules Past year examination papers Library Instruction Online (LION) Library Integrated Catalogue (LINC) Digital Library collection
