Games, Activities, and Energizers for Live Online Training Session Description Is your organization tasked with creating training for the live online, synchronous environment? Do you have trainers who don't even know what that is? Do you have designers who want to get started, but just feel stuck? Do you loathe the thought of yet another webinar? Do you want to learn how to take the games, activities, and energizers you have used in the face-to-face classroom and run them with success in the online classroom? If you answered yes to any of these questions, or if you are an instructional designer or facilitator for live online training and want to find out more about being effective and engaging, then this session is for you. Explore how games and activities are really run when operating in a virtual classroom! The session will be run live online using Adobe Connect, and you can join the session as if you were an online participant. You will have an opportunity to work in small groups to analyze the activities demonstrated and brainstorm where the techniques could be applied to your virtual training programs. The speaker will also discuss design considerations for WebEx, Microsoft Live Meeting, GoToTraining, and other platforms. Application on the Job Transfer instructor-led training activities to the live online format through demonstration and practice. Apply specific activities to related virtual tools to create interactive training activities. Use leading practices in design, facilitation, and production to ensure learners are engaged and collaborating. After we overcome these challenges, we have to BELIEVE in the success of virtual training and ourselves. If you can identify the critical elements that you need to know about online training, plus truly believe that virtual training will work, plus have the right organizational supports in place to sustain the training efforts, you CAN achieve success.
