HOW LONG DOES THE COURSE TAKE? You, the student, are completely in control of your own learning schedule. The Certificate III in Business Administration reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of administrative competencies in various work contexts, using some discretion and judgment. Plan, draft and review a basic document before writing the final version. Develop keyboard skills with speed and accuracy using touch typing techniques. Design and produce various business documents and publications. It includes selecting and using a range of functions on a variety of computer applications. BSBFIA302A Process Payroll Process payroll from provided data using manual and computerised payroll systems. BSBFIA303A BSBFIA304A Process accounts payable and receivable Maintain a general ledger Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records, including processing payments to creditors and handling overdue accounts receivable. Maintain a general ledger within an organisation including processing journal entries and preparing a trial balance. BSBADM307B Organise Schedules Manage appointments and diaries for personnel within an organisation, using manual and electronic diaries, schedules and other appointment systems. BSBITU304A Produce spreadsheets Develop spreadsheets through the use of spreadsheet software. It includes maintaining daily financial records such as reconciling debtors and creditors systems, preparing and maintaining a general ledger, and preparing a trial balance. It also includes activities associated with monitoring cash control for accounting purposes. BSBADM406B Organise Business Travel Organise domestic and overseas business travel, including developing associated itineraries, booking travel and accommodation, preparing travel related documentation and making travel arrangements. ASSESSMENTS AOT uses competency based assessment methods to ensure students have demonstrated their performance to a required standard. Competency based assessment is the focus of accredited vocational courses on what the student can actually do and the standard at which they are able to perform. Performance is measured in terms of whether students meet the prescribed levels of competency, not how well they carry out tasks relative to each other or the length of time taken to attain the skills.
