1. GENERAL INFORMATION This is the proof of the concept that we have put together in order to demonstrate how some of the healthcare industry s processes can be combined with state-of-the-art technologies. The demo details the potential of patient and the physician social connectivity using any type of device. We wanted to share this idea with our potential customers in the healthcare industry so that they can consider using our services for their daily processes. Our approach to healthcare information systems is to automate and interconnect the processes that are playing significant roles in the quality of care for patients. We believe that simplifying the patient and physician experience through our intuitively designed sub systems could considerably enhance healthcare quality and services. 2. SYSTEMS OVERVIEW This demo software is a professionally designed and developed software with limited functionality. It demonstrates the ideas and capabilities of the healthcare information system. The primary goal of the demo software is to show the endless opportunities of the healthcare information systems by allowing users and healthcare professionals to control and manage their daily processes better. This demo software allows for the organized management of the information flow traveling between the patient, the physician and the medical center by using web technologies. These technologies provide a secure and fast way to get control of health-care data through appropriate data access levels. The demo software is designed to be responsive so that any type of device connected to both the internet and the supporting web browser application can access the web based system and get the adopted user interface for that connected device. For the patient to connect to the system and access his/her healthcare information it is required to have appropriate login credentials provided by the healthcare service provider. For this demo software the login credentials are provided by request in order to evaluate or get familiar with the implemented demonstration functionalities.
3. INSTALLATION AND DEMO SYSTEM ACCESS This demo software is a web based software and requires an installed web browser on the device (PC, laptop, iphone, Android phone and Windows Mobile). There is no need to install any other software package in order to get the system operating on the device of choice. The demo software is built on the nifty features found in most modern browsers. You ll need to use one of the browsers mentioned below in order to use the demo software. Internet Explorer 9+ Google Chrome - latest version Mozilla Firefox - latest version Apple Safari 5+ Apple ios 8 Android Version 4 4. SYSTEM MODULES In this demo software six modular functionalities are implemented: 4.1 Authentication and security 4.2 Messaging 4.3 Appointments 4.4 Prescriptions 4.5 Medical Records 4.6 Emergency help Each of these modules are designed to work with three levels of data access: access level for the particular physician, patient and medical center operator. The demo software may not work properly with beta or pre-release versions of these browsers. For the best experience, please download one of the latest commercial versions listed above.
4.1 AUTHENTICATION AND SECURITY The Authorization and security module is responsible for protecting the system from unauthorized and ungranted access to healthcare information or data. The authorization is organized in a way that allows the database containing security sensitive information to be isolated from any public internet access. The only way to access the information is through the security service which has a monitoring firewall of all connections to the system. For security reasons, the authorization and security module logs all user usage when connecting to the system. Login Main menu

Each of the parties has its own limited list of recipients. The physician can send messages to other physicians and medical personnel in the medical center and to the limited list of the patients for whom they provide healthcare services. The patient can send messages only to the physicians from whom they receive healthcare services and, in turn, can receive messages from the physicians providing healthcare services and from the medical operations center. Messages The medical center operator can send messages to any system user. Message details
4.3 APPOINTMENTS MODULE The appointments module offers an organized calendar of all the appointments related to the healthcare services of the particular party (patient or physician) The appointments module is responsible for scheduling the healthcare visits of all patients for different treatment or check-up visits.
