Energy Efficiency Adoption for Green Data Centres Seminar 13 th November 2015, Friday 9.00am 12.30pm
Introduction The energy cost of data centres is known to make up a significant percentage of a business operating costs. The Green DC Standard helps organizations establish systems and processes necessary to improve the energy efficiency of their DCs. It also provides them a recognized framework as well as a logical and consistent methodology to achieve continuous improvement in their DC facilities. This standard is modelled after the ISO 50001 standard on energy management but is specifically tailored to meet the needs of DCs in Singapore. The standard adopts the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology, an iterative, four step problem-solving process used for continuous process improvement. The PDCA cycle forms the basis for many established management standards, which have successfully stimulated substantial, continual efficiency improvements within organizations around the world. Seminar Objectives This half-day seminar aims to highlight the benefits of energy efficiency practices in a measurable way by adopting the Green DC Standard SS 564. With guest speakers from Environmental Market Solutions Inc., Panduit Singapore and TÜV SÜD, you can learn more about the intelligent energy management solutions available in the industry and how it will improve your business. There will also be updates in 2015 s version of the Energy Management System (ISO 50001) and more on SS 564 s Green Data Centre for existing or new companies who would be interested to know more about this scheme.
