Instructions for Online M.Ed. Application Candidate who has passed Bachelor s/master s Education examination have to login to the system which can be accessed from link provided on Gujarat University site (http://www.gujaratuniversity.org.in/). To open candidate login screen, click on the GU Centralized Admission July 2016 URL and screen displayed below will be appeared on your computer screen. Note: Before filling online application form keep your all document & mobile phone with you. Scan copy in jpg format of Photo, Signature (As per Booklet Step 6), UG/ PG Mark Sheets (As per Booklet Step 7) & Caste/PH Certificates (if required) ready with you. 2

To register new candidate, click on Registration link from top-left corner. This will redirect the candidate to User registration screen as displayed below: Step 2 : Student Registration 1. To enable registration form, enter the unique 14 character PIN Number(provided by the university) in to the textbox besides PIN number button. Note : The candidate has to collect the PIN number from HDFC Bank along with information booklet. 3

1. After entering the PIN, Candidate has to fill up Personal detailsas displayed in above screen. 2. Registration form once confirmed, information cannot be changed later. Candidate needs to ensure correctness of data before confirming submission. Also, keep all registration details handy for future login into the system. Click Submit button for completing registration process. 3. For all registered candidates, unique registration number will be generated and will be displayed on top of the Login form. The candidate will use this Registration number for all future communications and online admission process. Step 3: User Login Once candidate is registered, s/he will be allowed to access the application using Registration No, PIN No, PIN Serial No. and captcha codes displayed in above screen. On Successful login, Admission form will be displayed on the screen as in step 4. 4

Step 4 : Admission Form a. B.Ed. Details: On Successful login, Admission form will be displayed to the screen. 5

All candidateshave to provide their B.Ed. details as shown above. All candidates have to fill their marks details. Candidates who selects category as SEBC shall provide Non-Creamy Layer Certificate no. and Issue date of Certification. Note: IssueDate of certificate must be on or after 1-Apr-16. For a SEBC category applicant, if valid dated Non-Creamy layer certificate will not be provided, then registration will be considered under Open category. Candidates who are not from Gujarat University shall provide Provisional Eligibility Certificate from Gujarat University. Candidates who are physical handicaphave to submit % disability in provided box. 6

Step-5: Photo & Signature Upload Student Recent passport size photograph scanned copy in jpg format with image size 10kb to 50kb is required to upload on online application. Student Signature scanned copy in jpg format with image size 5kb to 30kb is required To upload on online application. As shown below in screen: 7

Step - 6 : Upload Marksheet Upload your Last Exam passed Marksheet Scanned copy in jpg format with image size between 100kb and 400kb. 8

Step - 7 : Choice Filling List of Colleges Will Be Display In The Choice Filling Page, Select Your Colleges As Per Your Prefrences Of Interest And Conviences. Filters Are Available To Make Advance Search i.e College Type, Medium, City And Shift Wise. 9

Step 8 : Submit online admission form Click on Logout buttonin order to revisit the application form for any change/ correction. Doing this candidate should ensure that she/he submits the online application form up tolast date of submission. Click on Submit button, if application form is filled up completely. Once the form is submitted, the candidate cannot change any details. On successful Submission of application form, candidate can print application form in A4 size page. Step 9: Verification of application and Documents All candidates need to visit the Department of Education, Room No-31, Gujarat University for verification and submission of Admission Form and documents. 10

View Merit & Rank After successful submission & verification of Applications, All candidate need to login and view their merit & Rank as per scheduled.those cadidate whose Rank is blank can see Note below as show in the screen. View Result As per college choices given by students, allotment will be done strictly on merit basics.cadidates can see Result after login in the Admission site as per scheduled. Those Cadidates who get the admission can see Print Provisional Admission Letter and Fees Receipt button.the cadidate who does not get admission cannot see the same button & Alloted Institute name also will be blank. All cadidates who get Admission need to pay Fees in Bank & Report in college with in the time scheduled to confirm their seat.without Fees payment & College reporting the same admission will be cancelled. 11

Resuffing Round After first round if candidate does not get admission in their perfered college then he/she can participate in resuffling round by login and confirming as show in below screen:- Click on check box and then press submit button. The message will be appeared as show above.click on Yes to confirm. Now you can change college choice if you need otherwise last choices will be again consider for the resuffing round. Note : Above mentioned screen shots are provided only for candidate referance purpose only.there is a possibilty of modification.hence Cadidates are advised to follow admission website. 12

GUJARAT UNIVERSITY M.Ed. Centralized Admission Year : 2016-2017 M.ED. ADMISSION PROCESS IS TOTALLY ONLINE PROCESS. Medium 1. There will be only one merit list for English Medium and Gujarati medium. 2. The candidate who has completed B.Ed. in English Medium will only be eligible for getting admission in English Medium College. Eligibility (Qualification) 3. The candidate, who has completed B.Ed. from UGC recognized university and NCTE recognized college, will be eligible for getting admission. 4. Admission will be given on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in compulsory papers of both semester in B.Ed. Therefore only one merit list will be prepared and faculty wise seat allocation will not be there. For old students, only compulsory paper s marks will be considered for merit list. Allocation of Seats 5. 5% of total seats will be reserved for the candidates who have completed their B.Ed. from other University of Gujarat state (OUG) and 2% seats will be reserved for those who have completed B.Ed. from other universities of other than Gujarat State. (OU) 6. Remaining 93% of the seats will be allocated of the candidates of Gujarat University. 7. The candidates, who have completed their B.Ed. from Gujarat University only, will be treated as the candidate of the Gujarat University. 8. Only one seat out of 50 seats of each college or department will be reserved for the candidates who have done their B.Ed. in GBTC (Basic B.Ed.) pattern of Special B.Ed. Pattern with condition that merit of the candidate must have more than the merit of last candidate (who will be given admission in the respective category) of the Gujarat University. 13

Category Reservation and Open Seats 9. SC - 7% ST - 15% SEBC - 27% OPEN - 51% (EBC-10% in Open Category as per Gujarat Government Ordinance passed on 01/ 05/2016) Reservation for Physically disabled and blind candidates 10. 3% Seats will be reserved for physically disabled and blind candidates out of which 2% seats will be for physically disabled and 1% seats will be reserved for blind students. But these seats will be merged in respective category shown in instruction no.9, therefore overall reservation will be 49% only. Documents to be submitted by other than open category students 11. Candidates, willing toget benefit of their disability, have to submit proper certificates of Civil Surgeon along with the application form. Such candidate must not have less than 40% and more than 60% disability. Besides this their disability should be such that it will not be an obstacle in working or studying. For this, decision of the M.Ed. admission committee will be final. 12. If any of disabled candidates will hide any true information, the admission will be cancelled and the fee will not be given back. 13. The candidates willing to get benefit of reservation, based on cast, must submit latest cast certificate (with the application form) given by the authentic officials. 14. SEBC candidates have to submit a certificate(reference:mkþ /102015/455246/y) with an application form showing Are not in Creamy Layer which is given by an authentic official after1-4-2016. EBC category candidates have to submit aebc certificate. Govt. of Gujarat s Ordinance ``Mkþ /122016/271436/y Dated on 01-05- 2016, Related to General Category Reservation) 15. If cast certificate, civil surgeon s certificate or creamy layer certificate of respective candidates is not submitted with an application form, they will be treated as open category candidate. Later no change will be made in their categories. 14

Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) & Transfer Certificate (TC) 16. All the candidates who have completed their B.Ed. from other university of Gujarat State (OU) have to take provisional eligibility certificate (PEC) from the Gujarat University and it is to be produced in the college or the department after getting admission. Candidates of other universities of Gujarat are exempted from PEC Process. 17. Form for provisional eligibility certificate (PEC) will be available from Central Consumer Store, Opp. School of Language, Gujarat University. After filling all the details in the form, candidate has to get it checked in room no.14 of the Gujarat University main office. Then, after paying the fee of PEC by cash window of university office, candidate has to collect two receipts of paying PEC fees. Original receipt is to be kept with the candidate and a photocopy of the same is to be submitted with application form of M.Ed. 18. After getting admission in M.Ed., within a week, candidate has to collect Eligibility certificate from the university office and submit it in the college or the department where he/she has got admission. 19. The candidate who has done his/her last study from the colleges affiliated to the Gujarat University has to submit transfer certificate immediately (after getting admission) issued by their last college/department to the college/department where he/she has got admission Calculation of Merit Marks 20. Percentage of External marks obtained in compulsory papers of Semester-I & II in B.Ed. will be the merit of the candidate. (i.e. Percentage marks of First 3 papers in SEM-I and First 3 papers in SEM-II). For OUG and OU students also the percentage of external marks of compulsory papers will be consider in the merit. 21. If the candidate has experience in recognized secondary or higher secondary school with regular pay after completing B.Ed. only, one merit mark will be added for each year of experience up to five years of experience. It means maximum five merit marks will be added in the merit of the candidates for their experience. For that candidate has to produce (1) Appointment letter, (2) Experience Certificate, (3) Photo Copy of service book (4) NOC of the institute for studying in M.Ed. Without these documents candidate will not be given benefit of experience. 15

22. No other achievement of the candidate will be given weightage in calculating his/ her merit. 23. If two or more candidates have the same merit marks, preference will be given on the following basis in sequence. a. Total external marks in B.Ed. Examination. b. Total of internal and external marks in B.Ed. examination. c. Percentage marks obtained at the graduation level. 24. After calculation of merit is done as shown in instruction No.24 if two or more candidates will have the same merit marks, decision of M.Ed. admission committee will be final. 25. Merit of the candidates of other universalities must be equal or more than the merit of last candidate (who will be given admission) of the Gujarat University. General Instructions 26. Forms with incorrect or partial information will be cancelled or not be accepted. 27. Application form along with copies of all the required testimonials and documents is to be submitted in personal. Application forms sent by the candidate through post or currier will not be accepted. 28. At the time of submitting the form all the original documents have to be presented by the candidates. The admission committee will check those and if any false information is found, the form of the candidate will be cancelled. 29. Student have to take online print of bank challan and admission letter and have to pay the challan of Rs.500 for Department of Education, Gujarat University and For Self Finance College Challan fee is Rs. 22,500. The Fee Structure of M.Ed. Course is Department of Education For Boys = Rs.2190 (Per SEM) For Girls = Rs.1190 (Per SEM) Self-Finance College For Boys and Girls = Rs.22500 (Per SEM) M.Ed. fees will not be refunded after getting admission once.this is Adhoc fee the decision of Fee Committee shall be bound to all candidates. 16

30. The candidates are bound to follow the rules and regulation of the college, university, UGC and NCTE and commitment for the same is to be given in writing. 31. All the decisions taken by the M.Ed. Centralized Admission committee regarding interpretation of the rules formed for merit marks, allocation of seats and selection of college will be final. 32. During the process of admission if any candidate will be found pressurizing or threatening any member of M.Ed. admission committee or any worker of M.Ed. admission committee will have right to terminate the admission of such candidate. 33. M.Ed. Centralized admission committee has a right to change any of the rules of admission in legal way if it is required. 34. Check list will be declared after a three days of the last date of submission of the form and the same will be put on Gujarat University website www.gujaratuniversity.org.in 35. If any query is found in Check list, the candidate has to contact at M.Ed. Admission Office within 2 days of the declaration of Check list. B.Ed. / M.Ed.
