About NCHMCT National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Council centrally regulates academics in the field of hospitality and hotel administration through its affiliated Institutes of Hotel Management across the country. The Council offers Masters and Bachelor s Degree Programs in Hospitality as well as PG Diploma, Trade Diploma and Craft Courses. There are 21 Central Government Institutes of Hotel Management; 22 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management; 1 Public Sector Undertaking Institute of Hotel Management; 14 Private Institutes of Hotel Management and 9 affiliated to NCHMCT which is the apex body. All affiliated Institutes follow common course curricula prescribed by the Council for different professional programs. Quality of education and training provided by the Institutes help students to emerge as professionally qualified personnel for hospitality and other allied service sector. Its alumni occupy key positions in hospitality industry and teaching, both in India and abroad. Programmes Graduate programme: COURSE 1) 3-Year B.Sc. in Hospitality & Hotel Administration (offered in collaboration with IGNOU) ELIGIBILITY Pass in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary School examination or its equivalent from a recognized Board/Institution with English as one of the subjects, securing not less than 50% marks in aggregate. Those appearing in qualifying exam can also apply on provisional basis. Provisional admission will be cancelled on non-submission of having passed the qualifying examination at the time of admission or latest by 30 th September of admission year. Age limit: Note more than 25 years as on 1 st July of admission year.

Age limit: Note more than 25 years as on 1 st July of admission year. INDUSTRY TRAINING / INTERNSHIP Industry training / Internship is an integral component of all degree and diploma courses. This exposure gives the student a first-hand account of operational life in the industry, which helps them apply classroom learning into practice. The built-in internship is well structured, monitored and comprises an important component of the overall grading. RESERVATION OF SEATS FOR STUDENTS OF SAARC COUNTRIES In all 25 (twenty-five) seats are reserved in affiliated Central/State Government IHMs across India for the 3-Year B.Sc. HHA Programme for students from SAARC Countries who fulfil the eligibility criteria. RESERVATION OF SEATS FOR STUDENTS OF LEAST DEVELOPED COUNTRIES (LDCs) One seat is reserved for each country in the 3-Year B.Sc. HHA Programme, who fulfils the eligibility criteria. 5 (five) seats in each of the 1½ Year Diploma Programmes are reserved for students from SAARC Countries who fulfil the eligibility criteria. Admission is offered on first come first served basis to eligible candidates.
COURSE FEE PAYABLE BY STUDENTS OF SAARC COUNTRIES For 3-Year B.Sc. HHA Programme For 1½ Year Diploma Courses Fee is payable at par with Indian students in Indian Rupees. Currently fee for 3-Year degree programme is Rs.2,33,500 which is payable in 6 (six) instalments. (Fee is likely to be revised from July 2016) Fee for these Courses differs amongst institutes. However, the fee for any of these courses does not exceed Rs.50,000/- COURSE FEE PAYABLE BY STUDENTS OF LEAST DEVELOPED COUNTRIES (LDCs) For 3-Year B.Sc. HHA Programme Fee is payable at par with Indian students in Indian Rupees. Currently fee for 3-Year degree programme is Rs.2,33,500 which is payable in 6 (six) instalments. (Fee is likely to be revised from July 2016) Medical, identity card fee, student activity fee, locker fee and hostel charges, are extra. HOW TO APPLY SAARC Countries Applicants from SAARC countries need to submit their application form to their respective Embassy/High Commission at New Delhi for subsequent submission to Director (A&F), National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, A-34, Sector 62, NOIDA-201 309 (UP), India, with necessary verifications/endorsements. Least Developed Countries (LDCs) Eligible candidates from Least Developed Countries are required to submit their application form to the designated Officer of Ministry of External Affairs in Indian Mission located in their respective country for security clearances before being forwarded to NCHMCT. Application form may also be sent through office of Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi along with security clearances. Candidate must indicate at least 5 choices of IHMs in the preferred order. Institute will be allotted based on vacancy and choice. Admission will be on first-come-first-served basis.
