Investigated the impact of a therapy dog on patient satisfaction in an outpatient pediatric and adolescent gynecology office., Columbus, OH Resident Investigator 2012-2013 Performed a cross-sectional descriptive study comparing successful users of depo medroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA) to inconsistent DMPA users. The aim of this study was to identify particular attributes of successful DMPA users that will allow better targeting and method counseling to improve both initial selection of a contraceptive and its continuation.
McCracken - 10 The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Maternal Fetal Medicine Units Network, Detroit, MI Data Abstractor 2008-2009 Coded charts for the "Assessment of Perinatal Excellence (APEX) Project". This observational cohort study evaluated the measures of quality obstetrical care. Data collection focused on uterine hemorrhage, maternal infection, thromboembolism, maternal 3rd and 4th degree lacerations, and neonatal adverse outcomes. The goal of this study was to identify tools that will allow for the evaluation of quality obstetric care. Department of Psychology Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, MI Director of Research Team 2001-2005 Developed and conducted a longitudinal study on the psychological predictors of leadership aspirations of college women. Responsibilities included constructing qualitative interview protocols, performing interviews, transcribing data and coding results. Work culminated in three poster presentations and a published peer-reviewed journal article.
