Responsibilities included: evaluating a breast health fellowship program within the Department of OB/GYN; constructing and implementing a survey of OB/GYN training programs throughout the U.S.; analyzing the current state of breast health care, both within education and practice; writing various publications, medical and sociological, about the organization of breast care in the U.S. January August 2007 Research Assistant, Ann Arbor, Research assistantship with the Social Environment & Health Program, Institute for Social Research, University of. Responsibilities included: cleaning and coding the Chicago Community Adult Health Study s (CCAHS) newly attained data; imputing and constructing variables in CCAHS; and, linking and verifying InfoUSA data to site locations. June August 2003 Research Fellow, Bethesda, Maryland Research fellowship with the National Institute of Child Health & Human Development. Responsibilities included: creating and conducting a retrospective cohort study examining preeclampsia and its association to gestational age at onset of disease; analyzing quantitative data and preparing weekly statistical presentations to produce a novel, successful analysis. Recipient of the NIH Intramural Research Training Award (2003). April 2003 May 2004 Masters Thesis Research, Baltimore, Maryland Quantitative, secondary data analysis of the Risk Evaluation & Assessment of Community Health survey. Utilized multinomial logistic regression and univariate analyses to study the variation in risk behaviors among drug users, specifically, women who had sex with women within six months prior to the survey, women who had sex with women exceeding six months preceding the survey, and women who had never had sex with women. May August 2001 Research Fellow, Durham, North Carolina Research fellowship with the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Responsibilities included: Quantitative, evaluative field research within diverse populations to study the relationship between indoor allergens and asthma; contributing to biological laboratory data analysis; and, overseeing data collection procedures, such as swab and vacuum techniques.

Working within the Cecil County Health Department, responsibilities included: leading all epidemiological analyses and investigations within the County; developing County-wide emergency preparedness plans that outlined agencies response efforts in areas such as mental health and mass prophylaxis; creating databases for various programs including the fetal, infant and child mortality reviews. June 2004 June 2005 ASPH/HRSA Public Health Fellow, Rockville, Maryland Awarded this selective fellowship to work within the Health Resources & Services Administration of the Department of Health & Human Services. Responsibilities included: performing project officer duties for a rural health grant, including provision of technical assistance, grant review, progress report analysis, and development of program guidances; planning and organizing Federal Advisory Committee meetings that formulated recommendations culminating into an annual report to the Secretary of DHHS & Congress; and, constructing and overseeing contracts for the process, outcome, and impact evaluations of substance abuse programs aiming to increase substance abuse education. TEACHING EXPERIENCE Primary Instructor Summer 2009 Elementary Statistics (Sociology 210), University of Introduction to quantitative data analysis, particularly from the social scientist s perspective, covering techniques including basic hypothesis tests, chi-square tests, and simple linear regression.
