Introduction Configuring Vertical s TeleniumIP IP PBX for use with Cbeyond s BeyondVoice with SIPconnect service offers you and your customers significant cost and voice quality benefits. This document illustrates the steps to register the TeleniumIP system with the BeyondVoice with SIPconnect service. It narrowly focuses on this scope and should be used in conjunction with the TeleniumIP Programming Manual. SIPconnect is an industry standards-based approach to direct IP peering between SIP-enabled IP PBXs and VoIP service provider networks. If you would like more information about the SIPconnect Interface Specification, which was defined by the SIP Forum in their Service Provider to IP PBX Interoperability Task Group, go to http://www.sipforum.org/sipconnect. Prerequisites Installer: Before using this document, it is required that the installer be certified to install Vertical s Vodavi TeleniumIP system. System Requirements Call Processor SIP Gateway MFIM/ MFIME / MFIM100 / MFIM300 / MFIM600 VOIM/VOIM24 4.0Av minimum 4.0Av minimum Constraints The interoperability testing performed did not include any STUN, firewall, or fax testing. For faxing, it is recommended to use the analog ports on the IAD, that Cbeyond supplies with the service for faxing. If a firewall is present, it should be SIP-aware (ALG compliant).
Cbeyond SIP Trunk Setup Telenium IP System Programming It is recommended that you follow the programming procedures in the order as presented below. Note: The subscriber numbers shown here are for example purposes. You must configure the service using the telephone numbers and settings provided by your Cbeyond Account Manager. PGM 111, Btn 19 SIP User Table Index - enter a number in this field. PGM 114 Btn 1: CLIP Display - change the value to ON (default is OFF). Btn 2: COLP Display - change the value to ON (default is OFF). Btn 6: CLI Station Number - Cbeyond refers to it as the "PBX Username". It is typically the ten-digit Main TN billing telephone number. Btn 8: CLI Name Display - change the value to ON (default is OFF). Btn 11: EXT or ATD - change the value to ATD (default is EXT). 4 of 9 July 2007
PGM 126 (Web only) Registration User ID - Cbeyond refers to it as the "PBX Username". It is typically the ten-digit Main TN billing telephone number followed by the @ symbol and the proxy server name. Authentication User ID - Authentication ID assigned in SIP Proxy when required for registration. Cbeyond refers to it as the "PBX Username". It is typically the ten-digit Main TN billing telephone number. Authentication User Password - User password as assigned in SIP Proxy when required for registration. Cbeyond refers to it as "password for digest challenge". Contact Number - SIP URL or AOR consisting of the user name and the host domain name or IP address (me@abcco.com). Cbeyond refers to it as the "PBX Username". It is typically the ten-digit Main TN billing telephone number. Asc Station Number - any station number can be used, but generally it is the Attendant station number. User ID Register - change the value to Register (default is Provision). User ID Usage - change the value to ON (default is OFF). Ring Route Type - change the value to Ring Assignment (default is ID Assigned Station). 5 of 9 July 2007
PGM 133 (Web only) Soft Switch Type - change the value to Normal if it is not already set to Normal (default is Normal). Proxy Server Address - the SIP trunk subscription carrier will provide this info. Cbeyond refers to it as "proxy server name". Primary DNS Address - enter your own DNS address unless the SIP trunk subscription carrier specifies otherwise. Secondary DNS Address - enter your own DNS address unless the SIP trunk subscription carrier specifies otherwise. Domain - the SIP trunk subscription carrier will provide this info. Cbeyond refers to it as "proxy server name". Contact Address Domain - change the value to SIP GW Addr if it is not already set to SIP GW Addr (default is SIP GW Addr). Proxy Registration Timer - this timer is set to 3600 by default. Do not change this value unless the SIP trunk subscription carrier specifies otherwise. Proxy Server Port - this port is set to 5060 by default. Do not change this value unless the SIP trunk subscription carrier specifies otherwise. Registration UID (User ID) Range - define the range of User IDs from Station SIP Attributes 2 to register with the SIP Registrar Server. 6 of 9 July 2007
