Click Add New record Input a unique Device Number 3 in this case Give Device a name and description

Check that the fingerprint scanner is plugged into the PC Click on the window corresponding to the finger being scanned We suggest same 3 fingers on the right hand for all Students Thumb-Index-Middle from right hand
The fingerprint software pops up when ready for the finger to be scanned. Ask students to press the correct finger onto the scanner.
The scanner software will guide you to remove and present same finger again to verify the first scan. After this, close scanner and select next finger to be scanned

Now that you have added Time clocks and added Students: You will need to synchronise the Student information with the time clock. Networked systems will connect and update periodically throughout the day. Non Networked or Offline requires the data to be manually delivered and collected from the Time clocks via a USB memory stick. Note please remember that a new user will not create a time stamp unless his fingerprint has been loaded to the time clock. The reporting software does allow for you to manually add time stamps later. You will need to implement the Business rule that will suit your facility for when to download and upload data from and to the USB stick, with the Time clocks.

Now that we have timestamps in our database we can load up the reports section to view results. Exceptions appear in red and result in a student not clocking an even number of times for the day. Current version being tested at Dixon has Excel reporting only -Provided in the format they currently use, see next slide, with a separation between new and old students.
Note the report shows the existing users at top and new students at the bottom. We can prepare this data in any suitable format. The section with new users defaults to any students enrolled during the dates chosen for the report.
The time clock hardware and customised Software will assist in providing accurate data for your reporting needs.
