About the Sabres: Marian enters the series with a 1-19-3 overall record and a 1-15-2 mark in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. The Sabres were swept this past weekend at Adrian by scores of 3-0 and 4-0. Marian is 1-5-2 in its last eight games, beating Finlandia 4-1 and tying the Lions 1-1 on Jan. 20-21 and tying UW-Superior 3-3 at home on Feb. 3. Freshman forward Amanda Waigand leads the Sabres offensively with 13 goals and five assists for 18 points. Junior defenseman Rachel Mullendore has six goals and five assists for 11 points. Kurth Komments: St. Norbert sophomore forward Zoe Kurth has vaulted to the top of the team s scoring leaders with nine points in her last five games. Kurth has scored at least one point in her last five games, which includes three goals and six assists. Her five-game scoring streak is the most for any St. Norbert player this season. In three games Kurth has totaled multi-point goals, including a three-point game in a 9-0 win over Finlandia on Feb. 3. Kurth also has two power-play goals and two game-winning goals on the season. Ice Chips: * - Sophomore goaltender Katie Aluia is currently fifth in the NCAA Division III national statistics with a.946 save percentage. Her 1.55 goals against average is currently 11th. * - Two wins this weekend would give St. Norbert a five-game winning streak, which would match the school record set from Jan. 28-Feb. 18 of last season. * - St. Norbert could jump as high as the No. 5 seeding in the NCHA O Brien Cup Playoffs with two wins and some help. The Green Knights would need Adrian and UW-Stevens Point to gain zero points this weekend.
