The teams last met on Oct. 24 at Matthews Arena in a 7-1 win for the Huskies. NORTHEASTERN TRIES FOR 17TH POT TITLE The Huskies will be looking for a record 17th Women s Beanpot title when the puck drops Tuesday at BU. Northeastern has won 16 of the previous 37 Beanpot tournaments, including an unprecedented stretch of eight straight titles between The Huskies most recently won the Beanpot in 2013 on home ice with a 4-3 conquest of Boston College in the final. HISTORY VS. BU IN THE BEANPOT Northeastern and Boston University have met 22 times in the Beanpot, with NU holding a record, including a mark in the semifinal round. The teams most recently met in last year s Beanpot as the Terriers skated to a 3-1 victory in the consolation game at Harvard s Bright-Landry Center. The last time NU and BU met in a Beanpot played at Walter Brown Arena, the Huskies topped the Terriers, 4-3, in overtime to claim the 2012 Beanpot championship. HUSKY GREAT HEADED FOR BEANPOT HALL Former Northeastern great Tina (Cardinale) Beauchemin 89 will be inducted into the Beanpot Hall of Fame on Feb. 9 during this year s tournament. Cardinale- Beauchemin led NU to four straight Beanpot titles between and earned MVP honors in 1988 after scoring the game-winning goal in the championship game. Cardinale-Beauchemin is also a member of the Northeastern Athletics Hall of Fame, was a two-time ECAC All-Star, and was named to the AWHCA Team of the Decade for the 1980 s. COYNE REWRITING NU RECORD BOOKS Senior is in the midst of an historic season as the Huskies seek their first-ever appearance in the NCAA tournament. Coyne leads the nation in goals (36) and points (64) and recently broke the Northeastern all-time points mark, previously held by Hilary Witt 00. Coyne tallied a hat trick on Jan. 10 with Witt on the opposite bench (as the head coach of UNH) to pass the former NU legend with her 209th career point. Since then, Coyne has stretched her record to 229 career points, the third-most among active NCAA players and the 15th-most in NCAA history. HUSKIES ON LONGEST RUN SINCE With 12 straight wins entering Tuesday s showdown, Northeastern is riding its longest winning streak since the squad won 15 consecutive games. The Huskies recently completed their fourth unbeaten January in program history; during the month, NU scored at least four goals in all 10 games and averaged 5.3 goals per game. The Huskies combined to go during the month with the women posting a mark and the men registering a record. Only Quinnipiac (11-0-4) and Boston College (11-0-3) can also boast unbeaten January s between the men s and women s programs this season. SOPHOMORE SENSATIONS Northeastern owns the highest-scoring sophomore class in the nation with 133 of the team s 347 total points (38 percent). Second-year forward Denisa Krizova leads all sophomore scorers with 46 points in , two more than Wisconsin s Annie Pankowski (44 points) and seven more than former NSA linemate Taylar Cianfarano (39 points) of Quinnipiac. BLUE CHIP ON THE BLUE LINE Senior defenseman Jordan Krause leads all NCAA blueliners with 23 assists in 27 games this season. With 27 total points ( ), Krause ranks second in the nation in defenseman scoring and has been named the Hockey East Defensive of the Week three times this season. The Minnesota-Duluth transfer had registered just 17 total points in 104 games over her first three seasons, before this year s 27-in-27 outburst. BRITTANY THE BRICK WALL Freshman goaltender Brittany Bugalski has been outstanding in her debut season with a record, a 1.74 GAA and a.928 save percentage. The Boynton Beach, Florida native has won six straight decisions entering her first Beanpot, stopping 135 of 141 shots (.957 save percentage) during that span. Bugalski turned aside 30 of 31 shots on Oct. 24 as the Huskies skated to a 7-1 victory over BU at Matthews Arena as well. COYNE APPROACHING 40-GOAL MARK The nation s leading scorer with 36 goals, senior is approaching the 40-goal mark for the first time in her career. Coyne potted 37 goals during her sophomore year of , which ranks as the second-most in a season in program history (Vicky Sunohara scored 51 in ). With four more goals, Coyne would become the 12th player since the year 2000 to pot 40 goals in a season. LIGHTING THE LAMP Northeastern enters the weekend with the No. 3 ranked scoring offense in the nation, averaging 4.68 goals per game. Northeastern has scored five goals or more in 18 of its 28 games, and has netted at least seven goals in six contests. A big part of the Huskies offensive success has been the performance of the NU power play, which ranks sixth nationally at 24.7 percent. STARTING FAST Northeastern is this season when it scores the first goal, compared to when its opponent scores first. Senior has opened the scoring in 10 games; NU is in those contests. WINNING MENTALITY With 23 wins in 28 games, Northeastern has tied a program record with its most victories before the Beanpot in program history. The Huskies also won 23 pre-beanpot games en route to a season under head coach Joy Woog. SPREADING THE LOVE Thirteen different Northeastern players have scored game-winning goals this season, which ranks as the most in the NCAA. NU potted three goals in both the first and second periods en route to its largest win over its crosstown rival since an 8-0 win over the Terriers on Feb. 3, PUTTING THE STREAK IN CONTEXT NU s 12-game winning streak is tied for the fourth longest in program history. The and teams hold the two longest winning streaks in program history at 15 games each. The squad ended the season with 15 straight wins, and the team opened the year with 15 straight wins for an unprecedented 30-game winning streak spanning two seasons. Krizova has tallied at least one assist in 20 of 27 games this season, including 10 multi-assist games. SHELBY STEPS UP After posting no goals and one assist in 32 contests last year, sophomore Shelby Herrington has chipped in 12 goals and 20 points in 28 games this season. Herrington notched her first collegiate two-goal game in a 5-4 win over Syracuse on Oct. 9, and recorded her first three-point game with a goal and two helpers in a 5-2 victory vs. Vermont on Nov. 21. COYNE ONE OF WHEA S ALL-TIME GREATS With her game-tying goal on Dec. 5 at Vermont, senior passed Kelli Stack as the all-time Overall NORTHEASTERN WOMEN S HOCKEY

3 leading scorer in WHEA play with 134 career points. Since then, Coyne has added 24 more points and currently sits on 158 career points in WHEA play. Coyne has scored 85 career goals in 75 WHEA games the most all-time in league history. HUSKIES UP TO NO. 5 IN USA HOCKEY POLL Northeastern moved up one spot to No. 5 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Poll, as announced Jan. 25. The position represents Northeastern s highest spot in the poll since Nov. 23 when the Huskies were slotted fourth. The Huskies have now been ranked in both polls for 13 straight weeks, and have not dropped below No. 8 in either ranking since Oct. 26. TERROR OF A TOP LINE Northeastern s top line of sophomore Denisa Krizova, junior Hayley Scamurra and senior Kendall Coyne has combined for 145 points on 64 goals and 81 assists this season. Coyne (1st), Krizova (4th) and Scamurra (7th) each rank in the top 10 among the leading scorers in Hockey East. BUGALSKI EARNS WHEA WEEKLY HONORS Freshman goaltender Brittany Bugalski was named the Hockey East Defensive of the Week on Jan. 25 after posting a 0.00 GAA in 100 minutes last week. Bugalski shut out UConn on Jan. 22 with 15 saves as NU notched a 4-0 win at Matthews Arena. The freshman then entered Saturday s game at the start of the second period and made five saves the rest of the way as Northeastern scored the game s final five goals in a 7-3 victory. Over her last six games, Bugalski is with a 1.06 GAA and a.957 save percentage. COYNE HONORED AGAIN BY WHEA For the third straight week, senior was named the Warrior of the Week in Hockey East, as announced Jan. 18. Coyne racked up 12 points in three games as the Huskies posted a record during the previous week. The Palos Heights, Illinois, native registered back-to-back five-point games with two goals and three assists on Jan. 13 at Providence, and five helpers on Jan. 16 vs. Maine. Coyne finished the week with two goals including the game-winner on Jan. 17 against the Black Bears. The national leader in goals (36) and points (64), Coyne has now been named the Warrior of the Week in Hockey East six times this season. HUSKIES EARN SWEEP OF MAINE Northeastern finished off the regular season sweep of Maine on Jan with a pair of wins at Matthews Arena. On Saturday, both Denisa Krizova (three goals, two assists) and (five assists) recorded five points as the Huskies rolled to an 8-1 win. The following day, Coyne scored twice and Hayley Scamurra tallied a goal and two helpers to propel NU to a 5-2 victory. FIRE AWAY! The Huskies racked up 64 shots on goal against Maine on Jan. 16 in an 8-1 win over the Black Bears. Prior to that game, Northeastern had not posted 60 or more shots in a contest since firing 81 shots on goal in a 6-1 win over Yale on March 1, Over the last 20 years, NU has reached 60+ shots on goal only four times: Nov. 16, 1996 (76 vs. Yale), Feb. 11, 1997 (61 vs. Harvard), March 1, 1997 (81 vs. Yale), and Jan. 16, 2016 (64 vs. Maine). TOP LINE LEADS NU PAST PROVIDENCE Northeastern s top line of Denisa Krizova, Hayley Scamurra and accounted for five goals and seven assists as Northeastern overpowered Providence, 5-1, on Jan. 13 at Schneider Arena. Coyne racked up two goals and three assists for her second career five-point game, while Scamurra posted her first collegiate four-point effort with a goal and three helpers. Krizova added two goals and an assist, while netting her team-leading third gamewinning goal of the season. COYNE FIRST TO 30 GOALS Senior scored her 30th and 31st goals of the season on Jan. 13 at Providence to become the first Division-I player in the country hit the 30- goal mark this season. Coyne previously reached the 30-goal plateau as a sophomore in when she lit the lamp 37 times. Coyne and Hilary Witt 00 are the only two players in program history to score 30 goals or more in two different seasons. ASSISTS ALL AROUND Both Hayley Scamurra and registered three assists on Jan. 13 against Providence. The last time two Huskies recorded three helpers apiece in the same game was on March 1, 2015 at UNH when both Heather Mottau and Denisa Krizova posted three helpers in a 4-3 win. in the second period of an 8-1 win over Maine on Jan. 16. COYNE, KRAUSE EARN WHEA HONORS Seniors and Jordan Krause were honored on Monday in the Hockey East weekly awards as Coyne was named the Warrior Co- of the Week, and Krause was tabbed as the Defensive of the Week. Coyne racked up six points on four goals and two assists in three games last week to earn her fifth Warrior of the Week accolade this season. Over the same span, Krause compiled a goal and three assists, while posting an impressive plus-10 rating, to take home her third Defensive of the Week honor this season. COYNE BREAKS PROGRAM POINTS RECORD Senior scored her 11th career hat trick as part of a four-point game on Jan. 10 at UNH to surpass Hilary Witt 00 as the program s all-time leading point scorer (211 points). Coyne broke the record with the eventual game-winning goal early in the third period, before adding an assist and an empty-netter to finish the day three points clear of Witt (208 points) at the top of the record book. HUSKIES EARN WEEKEND SWEEP OF UNH Northeastern extended its winning streak to six straight games last week with a pair of wins over New Hampshire. The Huskies claimed a 4-2 win at Matthews Arena on Jan. 9 as junior Hayley Scamurra scored two goals. Northeastern then beat UNH 5-2 the following day as senior notched a hat trick and an assist. FASTEST TO 100 GOALS With five goals on Jan. 13 at Providence, Northeastern surpassed the 100-goal mark on the season on the earliest date in program history. Only one other NU team reached 100 goals within the month of January: the squad, who hit the century mark on Jan. 31. NU outshot UConn by a margin, including a 34-7 edge after the first period, to extend its unbeaten streak over the other Huskies to 16 games (13-0-3).

5 FOSS NAMED GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH Junior Sarah Foss was named the Hockey East Goaltender of the Month for December, as announced on Jan. 6. Foss posted a record last month in leading NU to a pair of wins at Vermont. The North Reading, Massachusetts, native stopped 49 of 51 shots (.961 save percentage) against the Catamounts and posted a 1.00 GAA. NU SWEEPS WHEA WEEKLY AWARDS For the second time this season, Northeastern swept the Hockey East weekly awards, as announced by the conference on Jan. 4. Senior earned her fourth Warrior of the Week honor this season, freshman Kasidy Anderson earned her third Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week accolade, and senior Jordan Krause claimed her second Defensive of the Week award. The trio was instrumental in the Huskies 5-2 win over Dartmouth on Jan. 2, combining for three goals and three assists on the day. HUSKIES TAKE DOWN DARTMOUTH Senior (two goals, one assist) and sophomore Denisa Krizova (one goal, two assists) each posted three points to help Northeastern earn its third straight win with a 5-2 victory over Dartmouth on Jan. 2. Freshman Kasidy Anderson and sophomore Shelby Herrington also scored, while junior Sarah Foss made 28 saves to pick up her third straight win in goal. Senior defenseman Jordan Krause added two assists and posted an impressive plus-four rating. GET SHORTY Northeastern scored two shorthanded goals in its 5-2 win over Dartmouth on Jan. 2. Senior Kendall Coyne notched her NCAA-leading third shorthanded goal of the year to put NU ahead for good late in the second period, before sophomore Denisa Krizova added her second shorthanded tally later in the same penalty kill. The last time NU scored two shorthanded goals in a game was on Oct. 5, 2013 vs. RIT. FOSS IS THE BOSS Junior alternate captain Sarah Foss backstopped Northeastern to three straight wins between Dec. 4-Jan. 2. Over the span, Foss posted a record with a 1.33 GAA and a.951 save percentage (77 saves on 81 shots). Foss was named the Defensive of the Week in WHEA on Dec. 6 following a weekend sweep of Vermont. NU EARNS SWEEP OF VERMONT Northeastern earned the weekend (and regular season) sweep of Vermont on Dec. 4-5 with 5-1 and 2-1 victories at Gutterson Fieldhouse. In the first game, five different Huskies recorded multi-point games, led by Paige Savage s first career two-goal effort. In the second game, senior broke the program goal-scoring record with her 114th career tally a shorthanded, game-tying goal in the third period. McKenna Brand notched the game-winner 1:54 later, while Sarah Foss made 23 saves. COYNE BREAKS PROGRAM GOAL RECORD Senior netted her 114th career goal on Dec. 5 at Vermont to pass Hilary Witt as NU s alltime leading goal scorer. The tally came 6:05 into the third period and tied the contest at 1-1. Lauren Kelly notched the lone assist, springing Coyne free on a shorthanded breakaway, before the senior shifted backhand-to-forehand and tucked the puck inside the left post. COYNE SURPASSES 200 POINTS With three points on Dec. 4-5 at Vermont, senior surpassed the 200-point plateau for her career. Coyne is the second player in program history (Hilary Witt, 208) to hit the milestone, and the 29th player in NCAA Division-I women s hockey to reach 200 career points since the year FOSS NAMED WHEA DEFENSIVE POW For the first time in her career, junior goaltender Sarah Foss was named the Hockey East Defensive of the Week on Dec. 7. Foss stopped 49 of 51 shots (.961 save percentage) in a pair of wins at Vermont on Dec. 4-5, while posting a 1.00 GAA. Foss is the sixth different Husky to earn a WHEA weekly award this season, and the second to earn Defensive of the Week accolades (Jordan Krause). STORMS A COMIN Freshman netminder Brianna Storms saw her first collegiate action on Nov. 28 against No. 2 Boston College, and made six saves on seven shots. Storms was called into action immediately upon entering the game midway through the second period, and rose to the occasion with a breakaway save on BC s Alex Carpenter. ANDERSON EARNS ROOKIE HONORS AGAIN Freshman forward Kasidy Anderson took home her second Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week honor on Nov. 16, as announced by Hockey East. Anderson posted three points in the Huskies wins over Merrimack on Nov , including a goal and an assist in the 6-0 win at Matthews Arena. Anderson was previously named the Rookie of the Week in WHEA on Sept. 28. RETURN OF THE MAC Sophomore Ainsley MacMillan scored her first collegiate game-winning goal on Nov. 6 at Maine. The tally snapped a streak of 41 consecutive games without a goal for MacMillan, who last lit the lamp on Oct. 17, 2014 at Mercyhurst. MacMillan also added an assist against the Black Bears for her second collegiate multi-point game. HUSKIES ON INTERNATIONAL DUTY Senior and sophomore Denisa Krizova returned to the United States in early November after successful spells with their respective national teams. Coyne helped the United States capture the gold medal at the Four Nations Cup in Sundsvall, Sweden on Nov. 4-8, adding a goal and an assist in four games. Krizova tallied four assists in four games with the Czech Republic at the Five Nations Tournament in Hodonin, Czech Republic, as the team took second place behind Russia. COYNE NAMED WHEA PLAYER OF THE MONTH Senior was named the Warrior of the Month in WHEA for September/October. In nine games, Coyne posted an NCAA-best 24 points on 15 goals (also an NCAA high) and nine assists. Coyne notched two hat tricks and three four-point games during September/October in leading NU to a start. KRIZOVA, BUGALSKI EARN WHEA AWARDS Sophomore Denisa Krizova and freshman Brittany Bugalski were honored with WHEA weekly awards, as announced by the league on Nov. 2. Krizova was named the Warrior Co- of the Week in Hockey East after racking up six points last weekend against the Terriers and Friars. 17 dave flint Head Coach Seventh Season North Adams State 93 NU Record: (.590) Dave Flint was named the sixth coach of the Northeastern women s ice hockey program in 2008, and has led a women s hockey renaissance on Huntington Avenue ever since. In just five seasons at the helm, Flint s team has caught the attention of the nation, and is poised to take the next step and reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history in In , Flint guided Northeastern at least as far as the Hockey East Semifinals for the fifth straight season. Under Flint s guidance, junior racked up 52 points and was named a Second Team ACHA All-American and a Top Ten Finalist for the prestigious Patty Kazmaier Award. In addition, freshman Denisa Krizova developed into one of the best rookies in Hockey East, finishing the season with 35 points in 33 games, and a league-leading 1.06 points-per-game clip among freshmen. Flint also oversaw the development of senior netminder Chloe Desjardins, who graduated from the program as NU s all-time leader in games played (104) and total saves (2,808). Since taking over the reigns, Flint has led the Huskies to two Women s Beanpot titles (2012, 2013) and two appearances in the Hockey East championship game (2011, 2013). Northeastern has also finished in the top three in the regular season WHEA standings in each of the last four years. In , Flint led the Huskies to the Hockey East regular season title, the first in program history, and was named Hockey East Co-Coach of the Year, and All-New England Coach of the Year. Flint has coached numerous All-Conference performers, as well as three Olympians: (USA), Florence Schelling 12 (SUI) and Julia Marty 11 (SUI). In 2014, Coyne tied for the Team USA lead with six points as the Americans took home the silver medal in Sochi, Russia. In her sophomore season ( ) at the NCAA level, Coyne registered 68 points in 34 games en route to a Patty Kazmaier Top Ten nomination. Schelling, a CCM First Team All-American in 2012, was named the MVP of the 2014 Olympic Women s Hockey Tournament after backstopping the Swiss to the bronze medal. Marty also played a huge role in the success of Team Switzerland, wearing the captain s C throughout the competition. Flint came to Northeastern after five seasons as the head coach at St. Anselm in Manchester, N.H., where he built the women s hockey program from the ground up. After serving as assistant coach to the men s hockey team at St. Anselm for seven years, Flint took over the women s hockey team in 2003 and was charged with making the transition to varsity status. Flint transformed the team into an immediate winner, leading the Hawks to a record in the season. Although St. Anselm was not eligible to compete in the ECAC East Tournament or the NCAA Division III Tournament due to its status as a non-scholarship Division II institution, Flint led the Hawks to the ECAC Open tournament, and won the championship. Since then, St. Anselm has won at least 20 games every season and has also clinched two ECAC East regular season/ecac Open titles.flint s St. Anselm teams excelled on defense, leading the nation in goals against in three of his four seasons at the varsity level. In Flint led the Hawks to a record and the ECAC Open Championship. The season also saw Flint craft St. Anselm s defensive unit into the best in the nation, allowing just 0.92 goals per game. Six St. Anselm players earned All-Conference honors, and both the ECAC East of the Year award and the Goalie of the Year award went to Hawks players. Flint s exceptional coaching did not go unrecognized, as he was named ECAC East Coach of the Year three times and was a three-time finalist for National Coach of the Year. He coached three ECAC East s of the Year, two Rookies of the Year and one Goalie of the Year, as well as two All-Americans. Over Flint s four-year tenure, the Hawks compiled a record of Since 2005, Flint has also been a member of the USA Hockey staff. In 2008, he was appointed the goaltending coach and advisor for the women s national program. He was also an assistant coach for the U.S. National Team that won the silver medal at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. Under his guidance, Team USA s goalies posted a 1.58 goals against average and won the gold medal at the 2008 World Championship in Harbin, China. Flint also served as an assistant coach to the U.S. Select Team that participated in the Four Nations Cup in Since 1999, Flint has served as director of off-ice conditioning and as assistant to the director of on-ice instruction at Superskills Hockey in Tewksbury, Mass., an offseason training site for amateur and professional goaltenders. In addition, he is an instructor at the Daccord Goaltending Camps and Pro Prospect Camps in Manchester, N.H., and has worked with NHL goaltenders Peter Skudra, Andrew Raycroft and Scott Clemmensen. A 1993 graduate of North Adams State College (now the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts), Flint was a four-year member of the varsity men s ice hockey team as a goaltender, and earned Team MVP honors as a senior. Flint received his bachelor s degree in Biology with a concentration in Sports Medicine. He is Athletic Trainer Certified and is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist.
