QUAIL CREEK COUNTRY CLUB GENERAL MANAGER/COO PROFILE NAPLES, FLORIDA

QUAIL CREEK COUNTRY CLUB GENERAL MANAGER/COO PROFILE The Club Quail Creek Country Club (QCCC) is a full-service, Member-owned Club that was one of the first established in Naples, Florida. While it is located in the Quail Creek Estates community, Members do not have to live there. In fact, seventy percent of Members live near the beach or in other neighborhoods. Naples offers a gentle pace and a tropical ambiance combined with fine arts and culture, world-class shopping, one-of-a-kind culinary experiences, and all of the outdoor activities and water sports imaginable. Quail Creek Country Club Mission Statement The mission of Quail Creek Country Club is to enrich the lives of its Members by providing a highquality private golf and country club experience in a fiscally responsible manner, with exceptional recreation and social activities that foster friendship, fellowship and pride. When it comes to golf, Quail Creek s program and facilities are second to none. Featuring 36 holes of championship golf, the Club has organized and casual golf groups active all year long. In an area where some clubs have well over 700 members per golf course, Quail Creek Country Club has only 240 per course, giving this Club the lowest density of golfers in the Naples area. Nationally respected architect, Arthur Hills, developed two different, but equally challenging, golf courses. He succeeded in creating 36 holes of championship golf that high and low handicappers alike can enjoy with greens that feature the newest TifEagle Bermuda Grass and meet USGA specifications. Quail Creek Country Club just completed a full renovation of its two 18-hole golf courses, as well as the Greenside Grille & Bar, with its open-air seating. The Club has begun renovations on the Fitness, Wellness & Spa Center. The Club boasts extensive golf lessons and training programs from talented golf professionals, an outstanding golf practice facility, great junior golf programs, spacious and well-appointed locker rooms, a sensational Golf Pro Shop, and an impressive summer reciprocal program, with privileges at over 70 private clubs. Clubhouse 9 Board members The clubhouse and golf courses are surrounded by 291 estate-sized homes on lots of nearly an acre or larger. This, combined with mature trees and accent landscaping, creates feelings of spaciousness and tranquility, distinguishing it from most other clubs in Southwest Florida. Quail Creek Country Club is proud to offer its Members the finest, active Tennis Center and program in the Naples area. The Center has thirteen immaculately maintained Har-Tru courts; five lighted for evening play, USPTA Certified professionals on staff to teach private lessons, group lessons and strategy clinics to tennis players of all ages and skill abilities. The Sports Lounge features casual indoor seating for refreshments and a spacious outdoor patio area for spectating and socializing. The Quail Creek Fitness, Wellness & Spa Center offers world-class programs with five certified personal trainers. There is over 8,000 square feet of space filled with state-of-the-art cardiovascular, strength, and balance equipment. Members can enjoy one-on-one personal training sessions, massages, facials, and body treatments. There is a swimming pool for laps and water exercise classes.

Quail Creek's Social Committee organizes a variety of fun events each year. From dinner and dancing and golf nights to kids' parties and events for pets, there's always something interesting for Members to do. The Clubs within the Club are popular with Members as well, including Bocce Ball, Book Club, Bridge, Investment Group, and more. The outstanding chefs make dining a true experience at Quail Creek Country Club. From casual lunch and dinner to spectacular buffets, theme nights, and fine dining; Members enjoy memorable dining experiences. The Cypress Room is Quail Creek s largest dining venue and houses the Club s extraordinary buffets and upscale, á la carte dining, as well as special events and holidays. It offers breathtaking views overlooking Quail Course hole number 18, Creek Course hole number 18, and a gorgeous waterfall in between. The Quail Room offers a quiet, elegant ambiance that is highlighted by dramatic chandeliers and adorned by original oil-on-canvas paintings of indigenous wildlife. The Quail Room's sophistication makes it the ideal setting for the Executive Chef s exclusive gourmet dinners. The newly renovated and expanded Greenside Grille & Bar redefines country club casual. The innovative design features indoor/outdoor dining with a 12-foot fire pit, peninsula bar, and plenty of casual seating for groups of any size to lounge and linger. The Halfway House is conveniently located behind the Golf Pro Shop and can easily be accessed at the turn of both the Quail Course and Creek Course. Poolside dining is available via phone orders from the Greenside Grille lunch or children s menu. Members also enjoy the convenience and quality of Quail Creek Country Club s extensive menus at home; the Club offers fully catered events and take-out service. At Quail Creek Country Club, the lifestyle is incomparable; relaxed attitude, traditional values, lifelong friendships, and welcoming staff. Most importantly, Quail Creek Members are truly exceptional. These successful, down-to-earth people are among the friendliest you will ever meet. They come to the Club to relax, have fun, and socialize. The club offers four types of memberships: Class A Golf, Preview Golf, Associate Golf, and Social. POSITION DESCRIPTION General Overview The GM/COO reports to the President of the Board of Directors and has clear ownership for all day-to-day operations of Quail Creek Country Club. S/he is responsible for defining and recommending the strategies and tactics necessary to annually achieve the Club s goals, which are established by the Board of Directors. Specific emphasis on consistently enhancing an extraordinary lifestyle experience for the Members and their guests is of primary importance. S/he is responsible to manage all of the key assets (physical and staff) including golf, tennis, fitness and spa, food and beverage, and membership marketing to ensure they are consistently regarded among the best in class service execution and delivery. Recruiting and retaining members must be one of the GM/COO s principle objectives. Of the utmost importance to the long term success of the Club, the GM/COO must have demonstrated the ability to proactively engage in the Membership and Marketing plan. One component of this effort is to ensure that appropriate and commensurate quality service and amenities are in place to support these marketing efforts. Sustained membership growth is vital to Club s long-term success. The GM/COO is expected to provide leadership to the Board, Committees, Members and Staff. S/he oversees the development of programs, events and activities at the Club and recognizes the need to lead in anticipating the majority of members interests, while, at the same time balancing the Club s business and financial objectives. Another of the GM/COO s principle objectives is the successful administration of the business of QCCC. Meeting annual tactical and strategic goals and expectations while, at the same time, keeping a high level of member satisfaction levels is critical to the GM/COO s success. S/he will be leading all aspects of the organization and will need the courage to make necessary and sometimes bold decisions in the best interest of the Club, even if it means pushing the Board for actionable decisions. The GM/COO must fill not just occupy their position S/he will be expected to be the clear face of QCCC. The Club is viewed as one of the premier residential club communities in southwest Florida. The Club s reputation must be maintained through consistent focus on priorities, goals and objectives that have been mutually established and reviewed in conjunction with the Board of Directors. Development of an effective and dedicated team of professionals, consistent operating standards and execution, and overall leadership within the organization is of paramount importance to achieving these goals. Ultimately, the GM/COO at Quail Creek Country Club is responsible for results. The Club and Community are desirous of having the right fit and the most effective and results-oriented inspirational leader who sincerely understands and appreciates the Naples area, is committed to the Club and its mission, and is intuitively engaged and sincerely involved and approachable to members, guests and staff.

Organizational Structure Quail Creek Country Club operates under the General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO) organizational structure. The GM/COO reports to the President of the Board of Directors. All functions of the Club report to the GM/COO including the following direct reports: Controller Executive Chef Communications Manager Food and Beverage Director Director of Golf Director of Tennis Golf Course Superintendent Director of Buildings Director of Fitness Director of Membership Director of Human Resources Merchandise Manager The GM/COO also works closely with the Quail Creek Estates HOA Managing Director to discuss mutually beneficial strategies and planning for both entities. S/he also sits on the Valewood Association, which is made up of the management from the four residential communities that surround the Club (Quail Creek Estates, Quail Creek Village, Longshore Lake and Palazzo at Naples). This group interacts on matters of interest and importance to all. The GM/COO also provides support and guidance to all active Club Committees and their board liaisons. Initial Priorities of the GM/COO With the expectation that the new GM/COO will commence his/her role at the end of the prime season at Quail Creek Country Club, the following have been identified as areas which will require immediate focus: Act as an innovative partner with the Board and its Committees. The Board wants a full-time executive leader who will proactively bring new ideas and well-conceived recommendations on what is needed to fulfill the Club s vision and strategic plan. Recognize the need, through the current GM/COO transition, to immediately build effective Member, Board, Committee and Executive Team partnerships, by building trust through responsiveness, decision making and thoughtful recommendations. Work to build and gain the confidence of each constituency by being present, listening, and offering thoughtful responses. Clearly define the standards of delivery and execute to those expectations, while ensuring that processes for hiring, training, and retention of key staff are in place to achieve consistency of performance throughout the QCCC operation.

Creatively identify strategies for new member recruitment and assimilation and urgently address retention of current preview members. Identify recruitment opportunities within nearby real estate communities and develop appropriate marketing campaigns. Analyze and assess the F & B operation as a whole, determine the strategy that best meets the desired financial outcomes as established by the Board of Directors, once established, execute the plan. Overall, the plan should include culinary operations, service, events and activities, with an overall eye to innovation, creativity and freshness of the various offerings. Ensure that QCCC remains financially competitive within its peer group of clubs in the Southwest Florida Market by working with staff to examine and forecast trends of membership demographics and service desires. Strong metrics should be developed where needed. Once developed, the GM/COO should consistently monitor-the metrics to develop a proactive, solutions-based approach with the Board and staff at QCCC. Develop effective programs for recruitment, on-boarding, training, mentoring and retention of key staff, recognizing the highly seasonal nature of QCCC. Develop relationships with local and non-local recruitment channels to ensure prompt supply of capable and effective staff in the future. Understand the value of current club-based technologies, as well as 21st century social media applications and their use in today s world of connecting with members and residents. Further recognize and implement solutions to provide QCCC members with consistent, timely, and appropriately detailed information about their Club and Community, especially considering the typical highly seasonal nature of Club life and a Club where 70% of the membership does not live within the confines of the community. Strong interpersonal and communications skills across all levels of Club organizations.
