4. License Agreement After reading the introduction, the installer will show you the My World license agreement. By installing My World, you are agreeing to the terms of the license, so read it carefully. If you do not agree to the terms of the license, click the Cancel button in the lower-right-hand corner of the window to exit the installer. Figure 6. 5. Destination Folder After you have agreed to the terms of the license, you will need to pick the location on your hard drive where the installer will put My World. In most cases, it is best to install My World in the default location. Figure 8. The Destination Folder window for the Windows installer Figure 9. The Destination Folder window for the Mac OS X installer Once you have chosen a location to install My World, click on the Next button in the lower-right-hand corner of the window to continue.
6. Start Menu (Windows only) In addition to installing the software, the installer can create a folder in the start menu for My World GIS. In this window, you can choose a name for that folder and whether to create it for all users of this computer, or choose not to create a Start Menu folder at all. At this time, the My World installer is only able to create Start Menu on the Microsoft Windows platform, due to limitations of the installer sofware. The publisher of the installer software says that the ability to create the Mac OS X equivalent of a Start Menu folder -- an icon in the Dock -- will be supported in a future version. Figure 10.
