On October 16, 2015, we entered into a definitive agreement to purchase the Great Southern Bank branch in Buffalo. Since then, the bank has continued to operate under the Great Southern Bank name, while we work to complete the conversion of systems and operations. The conversion to Old Missouri Bank is scheduled to occur the weekend of March 18, 2016, and all deposit accounts will be converted by Monday, March 21, 2016. As a result of the conversion weekend, the Buffalo branch will be closed on Saturday, March 19, 2016, and will remain closed until 8 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016. We know you have questions about how the conversion to Old Missouri Bank impacts you as a customer. We have enclosed a FAQ Guide that includes helpful information to address your questions. This guide will allow you to quickly locate information regarding deposit account features, loans, debit cards, online banking, mobile banking and other products available, as well as, the location of our current Old Missouri Bank branches and hours of operation. You can always call us at the numbers listed below if you have questions that are not addressed in your FAQ Guide. Currently, we are in the process of determining if all account numbers will remain the same or if some will change. Once this process has been completed, customers with account number changes will be notified accordingly. Due to a change in the bank routing number, all customers will be receiving new checks at no cost. ABOUT THE ACQUISITION: Q: Why is Old Missouri Bank acquiring the Great Southern Bank branch in Buffalo? The Buffalo area is a rapidly growing segment of Old Missouri Bank s customer base. This will allow us to serve our expanding customer base, while increasing our overall footprint in the area. Q: Does Old Missouri Bank plan to sell or merge with a bigger bank? No, we are only looking to expand. Q: Who is Old Missouri Bank? We are a locally owned, community bank that was established in 1999. We are founded on the philosophy of exceptional customer service and a commitment to helping you, families, businesses and communities succeed. We are looking forward to continuing this tradition within the Buffalo community and welcoming you to our Old Missouri Bank family. Q: Now that Old Missouri Bank is expanding into the Buffalo area, will it be supportive of the local community? Yes. As a community bank, Old Missouri Bank will be involved in many different aspects of the community. Q: Will the current Great Southern Bank employees still be there? Yes. It is our hope to retain all current employees. Q: Will Old Missouri Bank hire any additional employees? Yes, due to growth, this is likely in the future. Q: What will Old Missouri Bank s total asset size be upon completion of the acquisition? Old Missouri Bank will be over $300 million in total assets. ABOUT THE CONVERSION: Q: What is the date of the conversion to Old Missouri Bank? Friday, March 18, 2016, is the planned date for the conversion to Old Missouri Bank. To ensure a smooth transition, the Buffalo branch will close at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016, and will remain closed until 8 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016. Q: Will any of my current services be unavailable during the conversion weekend? Yes. We will be communicating this in great detail in the upcoming weeks.
ACCOUNTS: Q: Am I supposed to do anything right now? Not at this time. We will be in communication with you prior to the official closing. Q: Will all of my Great Southern Bank accounts transfer to Old Missouri Bank? Yes, all of your deposit accounts and safe deposit boxes will automatically transfer. However, if you have a loan with Great Southern, it will remain with Great Southern. Q: Will there be changes to my checking account? Yes. Your Great Southern Bank account will be converted to an Old Missouri Bank checking account product. In February, you will be receiving a follow-up letter notification specific to your type of account along with an account truth in savings disclosure. Q: Will my account fees or minimum balance requirements change? Yes. Old Missouri Bank offers a wide variety of checking account products to suit our customers various banking needs. Please be watching for your follow-up letter in the near future that will address your specific account changes. Q: Will the features of my personal checking account change? Yes. All of Old Missouri Bank personal checking accounts offer the following features: Online Banking, Online Bill Pay, Mobile Banking with Mobile Check Deposit, Debit Card, estatements and Overdraft Privilege availability. Q: Does this mean I will have less products and services because Old Missouri Bank is smaller than Great Southern? No. Old Missouri Bank offers a wide variety of products and services and will have what you need. Q: Will I need new checks? Yes. Due to a change in the bank routing number, all customers will be receiving new checks. This will be an Old Missouri Bank expense and we will be working directly with Deluxe to order and deliver new checks prior to the date of conversion. Q: When will I receive my new debit cards and checks? Generally speaking, these will be sent out seven to 10 days prior to the conversion date. Q: Will my account numbers change? We are currently in the process of determining if all account numbers will remain the same or if some will change. Once this process has been completed, customers with account number changes will be notified accordingly. Q: What will happen to my direct deposits and ACH deductions/credits? During the week of March 14, 2016, you will need to begin contacting your vendors to let them know that EFFECTIVE on March 21, 2016, the routing number tied to your ACH deductions/credits will change. Q: Will my outstanding Great Southern Bank checks transfer through to my new Old Missouri Bank checking account? Yes. We will automatically take care of this. Q: What will happen to my HSA? We will honor the same terms as Great Southern Bank.
DEBIT CARDS: Q: Will I receive a new debit card? Yes. You will receive a brand new Old Missouri Bank debit card. We will be completing a mass re-issue of all cards. They will be sent seven to 10 days prior to the conversion date. Q: Will I need to activate my new debit card? Yes. Your new debit card will arrive with instructions on how to activate your card. Q: Will my debit card PIN change? Yes. However, when you activate your new debit card, you will have the opportunity to change the PIN to whatever you choose. Q: Will I be charged to use my debit card at other bank ATMs? Old Missouri Bank is part of the MoneyPass ATM network. This allows you access to over 24,000 ATMs nationwide with absolutely no fee. Look for the MoneyPass logo on the ATM or you can visit www.oldmissouribank.com website and link to the MoneyPass ATM network to find surcharge-free MoneyPass ATMs. ONLINE BANKING: Q: When can I login to online banking and mobile banking? For personal banking, it will be necessary for you to enroll into the Old Missouri Bank online banking and mobile banking products. You will be able to begin enrollment on March 21, 2016. Q: As a business customer, will I need to sign-up for online banking? Yes. An Old Missouri Bank employee will get in touch with you and personally assist you with your enrollment, login and questions. LOAN ACCOUNTS: Q: Will the acquisition affect my existing Great Southern Bank loan? No. This acquisition does not include the loan portfolio, only the deposit accounts. CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT AND IRA ACCOUNTS: Q: How do I renew my Certificate of Deposit (CD) or Individual Retirement Account (IRA)? If your Great Southern Bank certificate of deposit renews automatically, it will continue to do so and will roll over at maturity to an Old Missouri Bank CD or IRA. You will also continue to receive a notice prior to maturity. Q: How often will I receive a statement for my CD and IRA accounts? Old Missouri Bank does not send monthly statements. However, you will receive notices concerning interest payments and maturity notices. Q: Will I continue to receive separate Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) notices for my IRA accounts? Yes. Old Missouri Bank will annually send an RMD notice to applicable customers.
FDIC INSURANCE: Q: Will my deposits continue to be insured by the FDIC? Yes. Old Missouri Bank deposits are covered by the FDIC. Q: What is the current amount of FDIC insurance coverage? $250,000 per account, per ownership type multiple ownership types can greatly increase the total coverage amount. GENERAL: Q: When can I begin banking at Old Missouri Bank? After the conversion date, you can visit any of your (5) branches to conduct your banking transactions. Q: Will my branch transactions process as they do today? Old Missouri Bank has a 4 p.m. cut-off for the same day processing of transactions which means deposited funds are available on the next business day. Deposits made after 4:00 p.m. are considered to be conducted on the next business day. Q: Will the hours of the bank operation change at Buffalo? No, banking hours will remain the same. NOTE: Periodically, we review the branch hours to ensure that they continue to meet the needs of our customers. After the merger, some branches may experience an expansion or realignment of hours. Any change of hours will be posted in our branches and online. Q: Who do I call if I want my balance or have questions about checks clearing? You will be able to call any of the five (5) branch locations for assistance and they will be happy to assist you or forward you to the appropriate department employee who can assist. Q: Will the phone and fax numbers at the Buffalo location remain the same? At this time, we expect the phone and fax numbers to remain the same. If any changes should occur, we will communicate these changes with you.
