Page 2 Senior Gab Marie s Brisket Supreme Serves 6-8 Bake at 275 or cook in crockpot for 6-8 hours on low INGREDIENTS 3 ½ to 4 lbs Brisket 1-12oz jar Chili Sauce (store brand) 12ozs. St. James White Velvet Wine ½ c. Brown Sugar 1/3 c. mixture of catsup & BBQ sauce (1/2 and ½) 1. Place Brisket in pan with fat side up. Mix all other ingredients together. Rinse the chili bottle with the wine (that will give you the 12ozs. needed). Pour ingredients over brisket. If there isn t enough to cover the brisket add water. 2. Bake @ 275* for 3-4 hours or until a fork stuck in the thickest part comes out easily. Cool meat a little and clean off fat. Set it aside to cool and then slice. Place liquid in a large container and refrigerate so the grease will rise to the top. After slicing meat (it is easier to slice after cooling) remove grease from top of sauce. Pour sauce over meat. 3. Reheat in oven or microwave. Or freeze until you want to use it. It is much better to do all of this BEFORE you want to serve it.
