Use the QR Code App on ConnectKey Technology enabled MFPs to scan two different QR codes to your mobile device: One QR code pairs / syncs the ConnectKey Technology enabled MFP with your Xerox Mobile App. The other QR code opens a Xerox webpage on your mobile device which allows you to browse for Xerox mobile applications. Tip In order to use the QR Code App, the following requirements must be met: MFPs require a network connection. The device must be loaded with the Software for 2016 ConnectKey Technology enabled MFPs.

Methods for Obtaining the QR Code App There are three methods to obtain the QR Code App: The QR Code App is preloaded (already installed) on the multifunction printer (MFP): - Users do not need to manually download and install it from Xerox App Gallery. - By default, the App is ready to use on the MFP. Download the QR Code App from Xerox App Gallery App: - The Xerox App Gallery App is preloaded (already installed) on the MFP. By default, the Xerox App Gallery App is preinstalled and available on all MFPs which have the software for 2016 ConnectKey Technology enabled MFPs. - Users must have an App Gallery account in order to log into Xerox App Gallery App and download / install the QR Code App. Download the QR Code App from Xerox App Gallery Web Portal: - Go to Xerox App Gallery Web Portal at: https://appgallery.external.xerox.com/xerox_app_gallery/login - Users must have an App Gallery account in order to login to Xerox App Gallery Web Portal and download / install the QR Code App. For instructions on installing Apps via the Xerox App Gallery Web Portal, refer to the Xerox App Gallery User Guide. If your mobile device already has a QR Code scanner / reader app, you can use it to scan the second QR code from the QR Code App on the MFP. This second QR code displays a web page on your mobile device where you can browse for Xerox mobile apps. 1. Go to your mobile device app store. 2. Browse for the desired apps, as required. Browse for a Xerox mobile app such as Xerox Mobile Print Portal or Xerox Mobile Link. Browse for a QR Code scanner / reader app. You can install one or more apps on your mobile device, including the ones listed in this step. 3. Install the desired apps on your mobile device. Use a Xerox mobile app, such as Xerox Mobile Print Portal, to scan the QR code and send the MFP information to your mobile device.

The following MFP information is sent to your mobile device: - Printer ID - IPv4 (Internet Protocol Version 4) - IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) - MAC Address (Media Access Control Address) - FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) - Display Name IPv4 must be enabled on the MFP for this App to function correctly. If IPv4 is not enabled, your mobile device cannot retrieve the required MFP information. If IPv4 is not enabled, contact your MFP administrator.
