PhD Degree in any of the following areas in Swahili studies from a recognized university or have successfully defended PhD thesis: Language Linguistics Literature Full-time university teaching experience as a Tutorial Fellow/ Assistant Lecturer for at least three (3) years High command of the Kiswahili language Successful candidates will be required to teach, conduct research and supervise students both at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. The terms for non- teaching positions include a generous medical scheme, house allowance and commuting allowance. Successful candidates will be offered two (2) year renewable performance - based contract and gratuity will be paid at the end of the contract.
