CAREER SUMMARY October 2008 Present Project Manger, RPI Barbara joined Resource Protection International to take on an overall project management role with particular involvement in the specification, testing and assurance of water based systems. Typical experience includes:- - Structural Design Engineering - Site Manager - Project Manager - Fire Risk Assessment - Fire Hazard Management Philosophy Development - Detail design and specification of fire systems September 2006 October 2008 Principal Civil Engineer,MWH High Wycombe. Principal Civil Engineer within the Wastewater Team for the detail design of a number of Wastewater schemes involving new storm water separation & storage, new final tanks, odour treatment plant, sludge treatment (centrifuges) and pumping stations. She was also actively involved with HAZOP and ALM studies for these works and the development of the programme and commissioning plans. As the Technical Manager for a study of a potential sludge incinerator she submitted the final report to the Client in March 2008; this study involved environmental and planning issues, outline design and an estimate for PR09 submission. She worked on the detailed design of a complete new Wastewater Treatment Plant (including a sludge recycling centre centrifuges & dryer) where she developed plant layouts, levels and pipeline routes. She also managed the design of the covering building - interfacing the building structure with the process requirements, building services, noise, odour treatment & ventilation, fire protection, chemical storage and vehicle movements. Barbara took up the role of a CIWEM mentor and Delegated Engineer.

March 2005 September 2006 Principal Civil Engineer Europe Parsons Group International Ltd - London. Project Manager for the installation of a Nitrate Removal Plant at an RAF installation in East Anglia. This role required the completion of the procurement for the process plant and the detail civil design for the supporting infrastructure, This was then to be followed by the supervision of the installation, commissioning and handover of the plant to the Base. Project Manager for the planning of the installation of a drinking water borehole at an RAF installation in Yorkshire. She also undertook a study of the Base oil interceptors prior to undertaking a program of sampling, waste classification and removal. She has also supervised a study of the oil storage facilities at the Base which provided a number of recommendations for improvement to comply with all relevant Regulations. Dr. Chisholm also developed a hydraulic model for the drinking water and fire water network which formed the basis for the formation of a network replacement program and she undertook a fire flow improvement study for this Base. She also supervised an Inflow and Infiltration study of foul and storm water drainage systems at an RAF installation in Cambridgeshire and supervised the development of a hydraulic model for another RAF base. March 2003 March 2005 Interface Manager, Tank Farm, Heathrow Airport Laing Utilities Interface & Logistics Manager for the new Fuel Farm at Heathrow Airport, which receives & supplies fuel to the Central Terminal Area and the new Terminal 5. As the most senior Civil Engineer on site she was also referred to on construction and environmental issues and undertook regular site safety audits as construction progressed. Part of this contract involved the demolition of an existing fuel farm and land remediation phase which required a Strategy for the Management of Earthworks Contamination to be developed which was a high profile interface; this necessitated Barbara working closely with the Clients Environmental Consultants, sampling and interpreting data from water and soil analyses. Within the Airport there were a number of different departments that she had a regular interface with: Fire Service (eg: for the design, testing & commissioning of the fire & foam systems, construction site fire emergency plans, site emergency plan for the work within an old river tunnel under the airport); Airside Planning & Operations; ID Centre (set up the project Airside Licence & was the project authorized signatory); HM Customs & Excise and Airport Security; This role also involved working closely with the BAA Planning department for the negotiations of detailed planning permissions and ground remediation strategy (this also involved the Client and designers), The Planning (Hazardous Substances) Regulations submission and application to the local council for the Section 80/81 Demolition Notice. She was also involved with the Client for the development of the Emergency Plan required for COMAH and coordinated the resolution of a number of design / technical issues. The Environment Agency was a key interface due to a number of sensitive environmental issues associated with this particular project. Work was undertaken adjacent to the Twin Rivers (one EA owned, one owned by the Crown) which required Licences to be applied for, for hydro testing the fuel tanks huge quantities of water were required for which EA approval was required (together with Airport approval), removal of contaminated material from site and treatment of contaminated water on site prior to disposal to sewer. Dr Chisholm was also a member of the Commissioning team not just because of the Interfaces but also because of her previous experience of commissioning and handover of works. April 2001 February 2003 Chief Engineer, Midlands & NW Region Binnie, Black & Veatch, Chester Office Manager of the process department in the Chester office designing a variety of water and waste water plants including some work for industrial clients. Design Manager for schemes where BBV undertook civil and structural design for process plants and also mechanical & electrical specification and design. Project Manager for the design and contract administration work that BBV undertook for Dee Valley Water.

In this position Dr Chisholm was able to combine her civil engineering background and process experience as a manager of a multi-discipline team. In addition to managing the team she was also involved with technical issues and undertook design reviews internally. She introduced more planning skills to the office applying this not just to individual projects but also to an overall office programme which closely monitored resources for the next three months. She has good experience of assessing risks both during design and on site and experience of the detailed planning of work which she was able to pass on to others. Dr Chisholm was also involved with the development of young engineers both graduates and recently Chartered Engineers, helping to give them balanced training; and was also CIWEM mentor to a number of graduates. November 2000 March 2001 Bid Manager Laing Utilities Bid Manager for the Anglian Water Alliance developing a number of schemes for a variety of water and wastewater projects. One was to drive a 300m tunnel between four shafts with a section under a main railway which was machine driven, other sections were hand driven through timber headings and a further section was dug through a steel shield. The second contract was for the construction of a 38m diameter post-tensioned storm tank with several chambers and pipework to connect the structures, tunnel and the existing sewage Pumping Station. 1996 1997 Construction Site Manager Paterson Candy Ltd. (PWT Projects Ltd.) Site Manager on a site in North London for the construction, mechanical & electrical installation and commissioning of a GAC/sand separation plant, responsible to the Contract Manager for the running of the site and management of sub-contracts once started on site. Of particular concern on this site was the preparation of method statements and risk assessments for the installation of steel silos adjacent to National Grid overhead power lines this task was coordinated from site in consultation with National Grid. Dr Chisholm was also responsible for updating and reviewing the detailed contract programme using Suretrak, preparing the training documentation for the plant together with the commissioning method statement and programme. Dr Chisholm then moved to a site in West London for a similar contract. Of particular concern on this site was the construction of a temporary cofferdam directly over the London Water Ring Main. Continuous monitoring of vibrations was carried out whilst the sheet piles were being driven. She was

also involved in the detail design phase of this project to ensure that lessons were learnt from the previous contract. 1995 1996 Construction Site Manager Degremont UK Ltd.
