Nuclear Operating at nuclear licenced sites throughout the UK our operations focus on high hazard risk reduction, providing engineering support including asset care and maintenance of operational plant associated with waste treatment or processing, decommissioning, demolition and clean-up of redundant facilities. Our directly employed multi-skilled operatives undertake all aspects of mechanical and electrical project support, outage management and working in line processes. The Group is also a supplier of high integrity fabrications to the nuclear industry. Renewables The Group is experienced in providing design and procurement as well as asset care and maintenance. Our expertise in the newer forms of renewable energy includes specialist capabilities in biomass materials handling, hydroelectric development and post warranty wind turbine operations and maintenance. Traditional The Group provides engineering services for the majority of the UK generators. Our capabilities include mechanical and electrical as well as civil engineering services delivered in partnership with our clients through embedded support teams.

Water The Group has extensive expertise in water infrastructure development and maintenance, flood alleviation and river and coastal defences where a large portion of work is procured under long-term framework agreements, many of these with repeat clients. The Group undertakes trunk mains cleaning using innovative and specialist techniques to clean sections of the large network of pipes that transport water underground. Land remediation Renew is a leading provider of sustainable land remediation services nationwide with over 30 years expertise in specialist soil and groundwater remediation, associated earthworks and highways infrastructure in the UK. In-house capabilities include soil washing, biophysical treatment, solidification and stabilisation, enhanced segregation and geotechnical improvements. With more than 600 projects successfully delivered for key clients including Local Authorities, utility companies, regional development agencies and commercial and residential developers, our ability to recover up to 100% of soils and excavated materials on site provides a sustainable and cost effective solution for our clients..
7 2 Awards for the Longbenton scheme at Northumbrian Water s Going the Extra Mile Awards Case study Flood alleviation scheme Client Northumbrian Water This scheme was designed by Northumbrian Water to reduce flooding to 80 properties in the Longbenton area which was subject to sewer flooding. The scheme required extensive modification to the sewer network. Material from the drainage excavations was recycled and used as backfill for the holding tank construction. The overall programme was reduced through innovative working practices which included stakeholder communications, construction methods and materials, programming and resource management.

Offering a wide range of capabilities covering feasibility and solution development, design, design management, project management, construction, installation, commissioning and operation and maintenance services we are also experienced in working in and on live assets such as: the rail network; power stations; power networks; road, rail and cable tunnels; bridges and other moving structures; and industrial process and waterways. Our work in rail is underpinned by framework agreements and is focused on essential maintenance and renewal works including off-track civil engineering works, tunnel and shaft refurbishment and enhancement, structural renewal and maintenance and refurbishment of lineside structures. We undertake the renewal and maintenance of mechanical and electrical installations and delivery of a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance and asset management services.
