CrownPeak requires... CrownPeak CMS is a Silverlight OOB (Out of Browser) application. For end users, the only installs required are: Silverlight, to support the UI. Using CrownPeak Every CMS is configured a little differently, but here are the basic steps of content creation. 1. Navigate to the area in the CMS where the content will live 2. Create content by selecting content type from the New menu 3. Use Edit mode to enter content 4. Save and preview 5. Use the workflow to send for approval or publish, if you have permission 15
Navigate to content In order to find your content, you must first log into the CMS. The Account Login screen includes Login and System notifications System version information Notifications and alerts 16
Landing in the CMS Once you login, you will land on a content page or the Dashboard The Dashboard includes modules to monitor the CMS and site integrations 17

Navigate Content Section We will be editing content in the Content Section of the CMS In the Top Menu, there is a group of Content Menus that will allow you to create, edit, manage and publish content Content Menus show all features and functions. Inaccessible items are greyed out. Select New > Page to create a page for the site 24 24
Menus in the Content Section In addition to the New Menu, Action Menu allows users to edit, branch and access other page level commands Workflow Menu allows users to move pages through workflow The Content Details accordion in right rail gives users access to information and settings for pages and folders The View Modes gives access to File View folders and files and Page View page preview 25 25

Publishing Content The new page we have created will need to move through workflow for publishing Most users will use the Workflow menu to select an option from the workflow. Admins and developers can use the route command to bypass workflow and publish directly. 28
