PROCEDURE TO JOIN WEBEX MEETING FOR REMOTE SUPPORT A. DISABLING UAC 1. Click Start button, type uac in the Search Box and click on Change User Account Control Settings, as shown in the figure below. 2. The User Account Control Settings window opens up. Drag the pointer to Never notify and click OK button, as shown in the figures below. 3. Restart the system. Page 1 of 9
B. JOINING MEETING The meeting can be joined in two ways, a) Using email invitation (preferred) b) Using meeting number B1. JOINING MEETING USING EMAIL INVITATION 4. Share your email ID with the respective Support Team. 5. A mail will be delivered to the same email ID. Open your email in Internet Explorer (or, any other browsers with Java). 6. Please click on the link Join the meeting in the mail received, as shown below. 7. A Certificate Error page will open up in a new tab. Click on the red link Continue to this website (not recommended), as shown below. Page 2 of 9
8. A Cisco WebEx meeting page will open up, as shown in the figure below. 9. Please enter Your Name and Email Address in the spaces provided and click the Join button, as shown in the figure bbelow. Page 3 of 9
B2. JOINING MEETING USING MEETING NUMBER 10. Open the URL https://support.ivfrt.nic.in/ in Internet Explorer (or, any other browsers with Java) and click on Join by Number, as shown in the figure below. 11. A Cisco WebEx Join by Number page will open up, as shown in the figure below. Page 4 of 9
12. Please enter the Meeting Number (shared with you by the Support Team), Your Name and Email Address in the spaces provided and click Join button, as shown in the figure below. 13. For the first time users, a request to install WebEx add-on will be displayed. Please click on the bar and select Run Add-on or Install, as shown in the figures below. Page 5 of 9
14. Click Run on the ActiveX control box, as shown in the figure below. 15. Click Install on the software install box, as shown in the figure below. Page 6 of 9
16. After the installation, WebEx meeting room will be prepared, as shown in the figure below. 17. Click Yes on the Security Alert box which comes up two times, as shown below. 18. Cisco WebEx Meeting room will open up with an Audio Conference pop-up. Close this box. Page 7 of 9
19. Once the Share My Desktop button becomes active, click on it to share your desktop with the Support Team, as shown in the figure below. 20. Then please click the Approve button in the center of the screen, as shown in the figure below. Page 8 of 9
21. Click left-button of the mouse anywhere on the screen to get the control back. Take the mouse pointer to the top of the screen above the green belt and a floating menu bar will appear. Click on Chat button to be able to chat with the Support Engineer, as shown in the figures below. Page 9 of 9
