Although it can be challenging at times, undertaking this MBA is also very rewarding. It has given me an opportunity to implement ideas explored during my studies at work. DISCUSSION OF OUR PROGRAM The MBA curriculum comprises eight compulsory, four elective subjects and six one-day master classes; as represented on the opposite page. Each of the core units are designed to develop students core competencies, ranging from strategic analysis and decision making through to an appreciation of global business challenges, complemented by people, financial, marketing and system analysis skills. An overarching theme of the core program is an emphasis on analytical thinking, innovation and creativity. Students have a broad selection of elective subjects to choose from, including crossfaculty electives. Commencing in 2011 six one day master classes will be offered. For those undertaking an MBA, AISAM gains credit for one or two units of study. In a one or two week intensive program held annually in Penang, Malaysia. The Sydney Business School offers people the chance to do an MBA in the very heart of one of the world s most fantastic cities, on a campus driven by a very strong Australian university, and at a reasonable cost. The MBA filled in the missing gaps of my knowledge, which was very rewarding. And the information I learnt has been very applicable to my job. I am using elements of these subjects almost on a daily basis. Dagfinn Ringaas Microsoft - NORWAY Business Solutions Director www.sbs.edu.au 5
