Why IESE s Global Executive MBA? Our program consists of a comprehensive curriculum featuring two formats and modules in international locations. A People- Centered View IESE takes the view that people are what make businesses tick - and they should be at the center of company leaders concerns. IESE s stands out from other programs for its immediate impact. It provides critical tools for experienced managers and executives who not only want to stay ahead of the game, but also aspire to grow and be more, both professionally and personally. Offered in two convenient formats (monthly and bimonthly), the program provides a broad and challenging curriculum, and is led by renowned faculty from 27 countries. At IESE, we believe a key aim of business leaders should be to serve people and society. For this reason, the school places emphasis on the importance of people in managerial decision making. Following this philosophy, the program is highly personalized and focus is placed on the individual growth and development of each participant. Personal mentors provide guidance to executives as they carry out the program. The gives participants international credentials, as well as a global network of colleagues and fellow alumni. Graduates also benefit from lifelong learning opportunities through IESE s Continuous Education Program. The diversity of the participants, the quality and dedication of the professors and the personal attention we receive from the staff were the top reasons I chose the Global Executive MBA program at IESE. I valued the program s attention to soft skills. You learn powerful techniques in areas such as communication, negotiation and crosscultural management, which are important in becoming an effective leader. Flexible: Designed to Fit Your Life Choose the format that is right for your work schedule, your family, your life. IESE s program is offered in two different formats, monthly and bimonthly, to accommodate participants professional and family lives. Divided into modules, the program includes a blend of on- and off-campus learning. Home-based study allows you to stay connected around the clock through IESE s state-of-the-art Global Campus online platform. This balanced structure ensures minimal disruption of your professional life, while maintaining a sense of community and support. For more details on each format, please refer to the inserts in the back pocket. Module Workload: Pre-Module: A time for preparation Because participants come from diverse backgrounds, they have varying skill levels in different subject areas. The Pre-Module gives participants time to grasp fundamental business principles before they attend residential sessions. Residential Sessions: Classroom learning and teamwork Face-to-face interaction and learning is maximized during residential sessions, which are conducted in Europe, North America and Asia. During these sessions, teamwork, case study discussions, lectures and workshops take place. Company visits, guest speakers and networking events enhance the experience. Distance Learning: Real-world application and home-based work In between residential modules, participants apply what they have learned in the workplace. At the same time, they connect with each other across time zones on line to analyze cases, engage in discussions with professors and collaborate on projects. Exams are also conducted during this time. Work is usually asynchronous, however, and participants are not necessarily required to be on line at a specific time. MODULE The program s monthly format, with 5-day residential modules, was a huge advantage for me. I was able to effectively integrate the program into my professional life, and could still be home every weekend with my family. I found the bimonthly format ideal for my schedule. The residential modules every two months are intense, but then you have ample time to regroup and get ready for the next one. It struck a perfect balance for me. The role of the professor is to carefully guide the case discussion with the participants, who are also rich sources of knowledge, as they share their insights and experiences. It is highly rewarding to be part of this. Ahmad Rahnema Professor of Financial Management Renowned Faculty from 27 Countries IESE relies on 160 professors reflecting 27 different nationalities to deliver its programs. Virtually all members hold Ph.D.s from the world s most prestigious business schools. As internationally recognized researchers in their fields, professors place an emphasis on relevant, real-world business problems. At the same time, they are highly dedicated to the personal and professional development of each participant. For this reason, there are ample opportunities to discuss individual professional challenges and goals with faculty members throughout the program. It s not only what the professors teach during the program, but also how they teach. They encourage participation from everyone in the classroom, so that you learn from your colleagues as well, tapping into their vast experience. This provides for dynamic and intense, yet fun, learning.
