1. How do I start? Double click on the Antum Secured Email / Message System icon on the Windows Desktop and the Main Menu will appear. In this menu you can start directly for encrypting a new mail or text message, without starting the whole head program. 2. What s included in the head program of Antum Secured Email/Message system? First thing you have to know is that the head program will be used for reading encrypted email, encrypt en decrypt text. The program will be used also for encrypting files or decrypting files. All functions about encrypting will be available if the user has bought a license. The free version of Antum is only for decrypting emails, files and text messages. For information about adding a license to the program, read the Installation Guide. 3
3. How do I decrypt e-mails or message(s)? 3.1 Decrypting (Reading) and printing secured e-mail(s) When you want to read a secured email you have to open the Antum Reader (head program) As you see, all the items of you re outlook or outlook express will appear in the same way as in those programs. Click on a folder and the program will list only the secured emails in that folder, no ordinary mail will be seen. The program is not an add-on or add-in but it works outside the outlook engine for security reasons. Double click on the selected mail, or select the mail and press the open-mail button at the bottom of the screen. The following screen will appear: Fill in the correct password, the Key Size and Block Size or normally default and at the highest possible encryption. After typing the password you have to press the ok button to continue. You will see that the mail be viewed in a special designed window of the program, where you can see all the details and see the source of the message also. Other functions in this window are: Printing the message, Reply on the message. 4
3.2 Decrypting (Reading) and printing secured message(s) (For Hotmail, Yahoo, MSN, gmail, etc ) Go to the File menu -> Extra Tools -> For Text Message s -> Unsupported Software Decrypter. Or Go to the TAB Extra Settings and Tools. 5
Click on the Unsupported Software Decrypter button, and the following screen will appear You can paste a secured text from other programs via the Get from clipboard button, then you have to press Decrypt this button, then the screen with the password will appear like in point 3. Next the message will be decrypted and will appear in the textbox where you have pasted you re secured message. After that you can also reply on that for more details see (5.4.3) 6
4. The.AEN File Extension of Inventus Antum Secured Encrypted Files First of all you have to know that Antum Secured Email / Message system includes a file encryption system, and will be implemented into the Windows Interface. It has his own file extension called.aen. 4.1 How do I recognise the AEN extension in Windows? This is how we can recognise the file in the Windows File Explorer: In Microsoft Office Outlook: In Outlook Express: 7
4.2 How do I decrypt an encrypted file? Just double click on the AEN file extension The following window will appear: Note: In this example the encrypted file is HeadUsersGuide.zip.AEN when we decrypt the file it will be named as HeadUsersGuide.zip (like the original name) Click on the Start Decryption button to continue, then you have to decide where the file must been stored to. Antum will set the default extension of the original file. Click on Save to continue. In order to decrypt the file we have to type the password to continue. 8
Press ok to continue. After that the program will open the Windows File Explorer at the correct location. 4.3 How do I encrypt a file? Like in step (4). Go to the File menu -> Extra Tools -> For File(s) -> Encrypt file. Or Go to the TAB Extra Settings and Tools. First we have to select a file that you want to encrypt. (Sample: terms.pdf) 9
After that click on open. The program will ask which password you want to use for encryption. Click on Start to start the encryption. After that the program will ask if you want to view the encrypted file or not. After that, the tomb will be opened: 10
From this point you can use the file for sending attachments via unsupported email programs, or sending files threw chat programs like MSN, YAHOO, AOL, SKYPE, etc 5. How do I make encrypted e-mail/messages? 5.1 Encrypted Email When you have chosen for Outlook or Outlook Express you have 3 ways to make an encrypted email. a. From the tray-icon. (Click with right-mouse button and the Antum Menu will appear) Choose for Encrypt a new mail (MS Office Outlook) or (Outlook Express). b. Open the Head Program. (Click on the File Menu) 11
Choose for Encrypt a new mail (MS Office Outlook) or (Outlook Express). c. Open the Main Menu (via the Icon on the Windows Desktop) appear. Choose for Encrypt a new Mail or Message. After you have clicked on the correct item, the following window will 12
In this window you will be able to type you re message, adding the correct recipient s, and subject. There is also a button to add attachments. (This will start the function to encrypted files and add them to you re message. Like we have explained in 4.3) also you can choose from which license you want to send. When we click on the contacts button, the program will get all the contacts information from Outlook Express or Outlook. After you have completed all those things you have to click on Start Encryption to start the Encryption. Again we have to set a password for encryption. Click on start to continue. After that the e-mail will be transferred to Outlook or Outlook Express. 13

Follow the instruction from part 3. Click on the Reply button. After that the same window as a new mail will be displayed, except that the pervious text will be included like a reply in other mail programs. 14
5.4 Encrypted Message(s) If you want to write an encrypted message you have different ways to get there. Users who have selected the version with Outlook or Outlook Express have 2 ways. From the tray icon on the windows desktop or in the Extra Tools tab in the Head program. Users who have selected the version for unsupported software like MSN, HOTMAIL, Yahoo have 3 ways. Also via the Tray Icon and the Tab Extra Tools in the Head Program. But also the option from the Head Menu. 5.4.1 How do I encrypt a message? Just like in (6.1). Except that we don t have a recipient address and a subject. As you can see it is the same for writing a secured email or a secured message. You can also see the paste-icon where you can paste a text message from other programs; maybe it is a text that has already been written. The reason for all this, that you don t have to write everything again, and this makes is very easy to use. Click on the Start Encryption button if you want to start the encryption. 15
After that you have clicked the Start Encryption you need to give again the password starting the encryption. Click on Start to continue. 5.4.2 How do I use the encrypted message into other programs? As you can see in the latest picture (6.4.1), you can copy the encrypted text to the clipboard, so that you can put the encrypted text everywhere you want. For example, during a chat-session, Web-Based Email Systems, etc. There is also another button named Export to default mail, this button will create an EML file that can been used with various numbers of programs like Windows Vista Mail, Windows Live Mail, IncrediMail, and many other programs. Antum will open automatically the program that uses the EML 16
file extension. There is also a checkbox named Ask for a recipient address before export this will add a recipient to the exported EML file. 5.4.3 How do I reply on a message? After you have decrypted a secured message, you will see a button named Reply. After clicking the button Reply the same window as a new encrypted message will appear. You will see that the decrypted text will be added into the textbox, now you can add you re text into the textbox. After pressing the Start Encryption button the same system will be used as creating a new encrypted message. (See 6.4.1 for more details) 17
6. How do I automatically start Antum Secured Email Reader while starting Windows? Start the head program (from the main menu) and go to the Extra Settings & Tools Tab -> Click on the checkbox: Run Antum Mail reader at start-up of windows 7. Event Viewer (For use with Microsoft Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook Office) Antum Reader will add every event about checking mails, checking folders, into the Eent Viewer list etc 18
8. Recently Found (For use with Microsoft Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook Office) This is the list of all founded secured e-mail(s). 9. Log Options You can save for each session the events of the event viewer and you can save for each session the recently found events. 19
9.1 How can I save for each session the Events? For each type of events you can set the option to save it for each session. 9.2 How do I read previous saved events? For each type of events there is an arrow button. When you click on the arrow button Antum Reader will add all sessions into the selection combo. After making a selection from the list, Antum Reader will load the selected log-file into the list below. 9.3 How can I delete all previous log-files? For each type of events there is a delete button, after clicking this button Antum Reader will delete all log-files. 10. How I can change the settings of the program? And can I use the Installation Wizard? There are 2 ways to get to the configuration. a) In the head menu You can start Antum Configuration from the head menu, select Antum Settings. 20
b) In the Antum Reader program: You can start Antum Configuration from the menu Settings -> Program Settings. When you have enterd the window of the program settings, there is a button named Use Wizard. Using this button you re able to use a wizard to update you re current settings. 11. How can I add/remove Antum Secured Email Licenses? You can add/remove licenses with the button on the program settings window. You can start also the licenses window from the menu Settings Add and Remove License. 21
When you have a license click on add License (see picture below). When you want to remove a license, click on the correct license in the List Of Licenses, after making a selection click on the Remove License button. Fill in correctly all the details (will be delivered when the contract has been signed) and click on add new license. After that, the license has been added to the list and the program will be able to create new encrypted files, mails and text messages. 22
