3 Introduction Microsoft Outlook 2010 offers a premium business and personal management tools to most of users all over the world. 4 Start Outlook 2010 Click on Start Choose All Programs Choose Microsoft Office folder Click on Microsoft Office Outlook 2010 The Outlook Startup Wizard will be displayed for the first time using Outlook Cancel out of the wizard Set up accounts without using the wizard Configure Account s Outlook requires configure an account when starting it up for the first time. There are three types of accounts that Outlook supports: IMAP accounts Yahoo, Google, Hotmail, and AOL accounts Having access to mail folder on the mail server, store and process mail without downloading it to the local computer Microsoft Exchange Server accounts A collaborative communications server used by many organizations POP3 accounts The leading account type on the Internet messages are downloaded to the local computer and then usually deleted from the mail server Set up IMAP/ Microsoft Exchange Server accounts Go to File tab Info click on Add Account Last Edited:

5 The Add New Account Dialog Box is displayed Choose Account box (default) Enter username in Your Name textbox Enter address in Address textbox Enter password in Password textbox and retype it again in Retype Password textbox Click Next Wait for Outlook configure the account Click Allow if the Microsoft Outlook Window pops up asking if it s all right to allow the Web site access to Outlook Last Edited:

6 Click Finish when three green checkmarks indicating that the account did set up correctly Click OK to restart Outlook and close the Outlook Re-open Outlook, re-enter the account password if prompted before the program starts, and then click OK to continue Wait for one or two minutes while Outlook configures the new account Click Allow if receive another prompt Last Edited:

7 Repeat the all the step to configure other new accounts Set up POP accounts A POP is normally associated with a Web site or Internet Service Provider (ISP), such as Comcast or AT&T Contact the ISP or Web hosting company to find out what information as well as requirement to configure a POP account to Outlook Incoming mail server address Outgoing mail server (STMP) address To set up a POP account, do the following: Go to File tab Info click on Add Account The Add New Account Dialog Box is display Choose Manually configure server settings or additional server types option and click Next Last Edited:

8 Choose Internet option and click Next Enter the account information under the Internet Settings Under Logon Information, the User Name can be either only the user s first name and last name or a full address which is depended on the ISP or Web hosting company After enter the account information, if needed, click on Test Account Settings to test if the account is properly set up Under Deliver new messages to section, decide either create a brand-new Outlook data file or add this data to an existing data file If needed, click on More Settings to make other modifications based on the input from the Web posting company Click Next to finish Last Edited:

11 Command Groups Certain groups are expandable to view more options, notice some groups have a small diagonal arrow in the lower-right corner. Select these diagonal arrows also known as Dialog Box Launchers to bring up an options window Not all items have expandable options and for those no Dialog Box Launcher will appear Customize the Ribbon Do one of the following: Go to File tab click Customize Ribbon Right click on the Ribbon bar, and select Customize the Ribbon from pop-up menu Customization features: Reorder the order of the tabs on the Ribbon bar To create a new group to existing tabs, click New group Add commands to existing tabs To create new tab, click New Tab Export/Import customized Ribbon bar Reset Quick Access Toolbar customizations Last Edited:

12 Change colors in Outlook In previous versions of Outlook, there were no available options to change the overall look and feel of the program. In the 2010 version, however, there is the option to change colors.
