Mr Gulla has received three IBM publication (plateau) awards for his technical publications. Mr. Gulla has attended five System Engineering Symposiums and two 100% club events. He has received four team awards, six individual awards, two manager's awards, and two director's awards. He has also received a moment of truth award for his work with NEISUG (User's Group) and the CSTC (Technical Conference). In 2005, Dr. Gulla was inducted into Upsilon Pi Epsilon-- the first and only, existing international honor society in the Computing and Information Disciplines. He was recognized for his teaching, writing, and research excellence. Boards e-business Hosting Center Architecture Review Board (2001) - Technical reviewer for one year duration. IBM IT Specialist Certification Board (2000) - Invited to join the board in 2000. Participate each quarter by interviewing candidates for the IT Specialist profession. NEISUG Board (1989-1996) - Organized and ran the system automation subtopic for the twice-yearly meetings by inviting speakers from IBM and IBM customers.
