c) If you receive a pop-up blocked message, left click the Pop-up blocked message and select always allow pop-up s from this site". d) When prompted to allow the pop-up, select yes. 2) Install the.net Framework a) The.Net Framework application is required to use LDRPS. This is a free application from Microsoft and will only need to be loaded one time. If you are prompted to install the Microsoft.Net Framework application, click the here link. (If you are not prompted to install the.net Framework application, skip to step three.) 2
b) A new Web browser window will open to display the Microsoft.Net Framework download page. Click the download button c) If you are prompted with the security warning Do you want to run or save this file, select Run 3
d) The file will download to your system and you will be prompted to run the software. Click Run to install the program e) The.Net Framework installation wizard will guide you through the install process. Select Next to continue the installation 4
f) Put a check mark in the I accept the terms of the License Agreement check box, then click Install g) The.Net Framework installation may take a few minutes to load. Once loaded, you will receive a Setup Complete pop-up. Click the Finish button to complete the installation process 5
h) Close the Microsoft.Net Framework Web site Thank you for downloading Web browser session. 3) Wait for LDRPS to Load a) Once the.net Framework installation has completed, LDRPS will continue the loading process. 6
4) Login to LDRPS a) Enter your LDRPS User name and password, provided by your LDRPS system administrator, into the LDRPS login screen; click the green arrow button to logon. b) The first time you login, the system will download a small program to your computer. Accept any warnings and allow the program to install. If you receive a time out error, click the Retry button. 7
c) From time to time, you may receive the Microsoft.NET Security Warning popup advising you not to enter personal information or passwords into windows unless you can verify and the trust the source of the request. This is normal. Just click the warning and continue. ***To turn off future warnings please see the Microsoft.NET Security Warning Fix on page 15*** d) The LDRPS home page will be displayed. To get started, click on the Build Plans icon e) From the Select Plan screen, double click the plan on which you want to work. 8
f) In the Plan Navigator screen, click Welcome to LDRPS! This will open up the first plan building step. g) Once you are done with a section, look towards the bottom right of the screen for the Close button. If you select Close, you will move back to the Plan Navigator list. Hint: If you select the This step is complete checkbox and then Close, the system will track your planning progress. 9
5) Log off of LDRPS a) When you are done with your session, remember to log off before closing your web browser. 10
Login Issues and Recommended Settings Trusted Sites a) If you are not presented with a login prompt, you may need to add the https://enterprise.strohlservices.com site to your Trusted Sites list in Internet Explorer (IE) as follows: 1) Click Tools > Internet Options 2) Click Security > Trusted sites > Sites Note: Internet Explorer (IE) for PCs is the only internet browser application officially supported by Strohl Systems LDRPS Note: It may be necessary to work with your local PC support administrator to configure your PC settings 11
3) Enter https://enterprise.strohlservices.com into the Add this Web site to the zone: field and click the Add button. Once completed, click the Close button Note: Unless your local PC administration advises otherwise, it is recommended, for security purposes, that you keep the option Require server verification (https) for all sites in this zone checked 12
Pop-up Blocker a) If you are not presented with a login prompt to LDRPS, you may need to make sure that your Internet Explorer (IE) Web browser Pop-up Blocker is either turned off or that you allow pop-ups from this site; to change this setting in IE: i) RECOMMENDED OPTION - Allow the LDRPS Web site to use pop-ups: (1) Click Tools > Pop-up Blocker > Pop-up Blocker Settings (2) Enter the https://enterprise.strohlservices.com into the Address of website to allow: field, then click Add ii) Secondary option - To turn off the pop-up blocker: (1) Click Tools > Pop-up Blocker (2) Select Turn Off Pop-up Blocker Note: It may be necessary to work with your local PC support administrator to configure your PC settings Tip: If you are still having problems getting the screen to display, make sure that all of your internet toolbars (Yahoo, Google, etc.) have their popup blockers disabled as well 13
Downloading Files a) This issue is related to Internet Explorer (IE) 7 USERS: If you have trouble downloading certain reports or documents* from LDRPS you will need to enable file downloading in your browser. (1) Launch your Internet Explorer (IE) web browser (2) Click Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted sites > Custom Level (3) Scroll down to Downloads (4) Under Automatic prompting for file downloads check Enable * Typically MS Excel, MS Word, or PDF documents Note: It may be necessary to work with your local PC support administrator to configure your PC settings 14
Microsoft.NET Security Warning Fix a) If the Microsoft.NET Security Warning appears when accessing LDRPS, performing the following steps will prevent it from reappearing: (1) Click Tools > Internet Options Note: Internet Explorer (IE) for PCs is the only internet browser application officially supported by Strohl Systems LDRPS 15
(2) Click Security > Local Intranet > Sites Note: It may be necessary to work with your local PC support administrator to configure your PC settings (3) From the Local Intranet window that opens, click Advanced 16
(4) A new Local Intranet window will open. In the top text field, type in the LDRPS URL, then click the Add button as shown below: (5) Click Close; close out of all Internet Explorer windows and access the LDRPS Web site again.
