PROGRAMS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AT ECE PARIS As an international student, there are several pathways you are able to follow in order to become a student at ECE Paris. Depending on your educational goals, you are able to apply to ECE Paris as either a non-degree seeking student or a degree seeking student. NON-DEGREE SEEKING STUDENTS Non-degree seeking students enjoy a summer or/and a semester, or a year at ECE Paris, and are returning to their home institutions to complete their intended degrees. DEGREE SEEKING STUDENTS Degree seeking students spend two years at ECE Paris to follow one of the specializations proposed by ECE Paris to obtain the ECE Paris Master s degree (the Engineer title) accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the European Council. SUMMER STUDENTS MASTER S STUDENTS SEMESTER/YEAR : - EXCHANGE STUDENTS - VISITING STUDENTS DOUBLE-DEGREE STUDENTS ECE international ECE international is an ECE Paris student association which helps integrate international students into Paris life. Our objective is to help students adjust to their daily life when they come to Paris. Four words accurately define our daily work with the students: gatherings, presence, work and companionship.
NON-DEGREE SEEKING STUDENTS (UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL) SUMMER STUDENTS ECE Paris offers summer programs in July in the following areas: Energy and Environment (9 ECTS) Augmented/Virtual Reality Sensors and Networks (8 ECTS) Smart Objects (9 ECTS) The Summer students come from the following partners or by the following means: Erasmus partners, Laureate International University partners, International partners (outside of Europe), Independent candidates (from nonpartner institutions). SEMESTER/YEAR Exchange Students Exchange students are students coming from a partner institution where there is a specific exchange agreement. They normally attend ECE Paris for either one semester or for one year. ECE Paris Exchange students are coming from one of the following partners: Erasmus partners, Laureate International University partners, International partners (outside of Europe). Visiting Students Visiting students are students attending ECE Paris for one semester or a short-period of time and they are coming from a non-partner institution. They are able to participate in courses designated for the visiting students. They obtain a transcript of grade. The objective of the visiting students is to gain exceptional cultural and educational experience while attending ECE Paris. Program and Courses Visiting and Exchange students are able to apply for either the Fall semester (September to December) or the Winter/Spring semester (January to June). The following are the courses the visiting students are able to participate at ECE Paris. DEGREE SEEKING STUDENTS MASTER S STUDENTS International students who have successfully completed an accredited Bachelor s degree in Science or Technology outside of France are able to apply for the ECE Paris Master s degree program. The complete program duration is 2 years (4 semesters) and a mandatory internship placement is included in the program after each year. DOUBLE DEGREE STUDENTS Double-degree students accepted into the specific double degree programs by ECE Paris and the partner institution. The students obtain the Master s degree from ECE Paris and a degree from the partner institution. In order to obtain the ECE Paris Master s degree (the French Engineer title), the students must spend at least three consecutive semesters at ECE Paris. Most double degree students spend 2 years at ECE Paris in order to complete their internship semester and Thesis.
