2 MASTER 1 INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC STUDIES International Economics and Management Economics & Management Faculty Faculty of Economics and Management University of Paris-Est-Créteil Master 1 (1 st year of master) Students enrolled in the master IES and selected by the direction council can follow all the lectures in Freiberg University (Germany) in the Master 1. At the end of the master 2 DEIPM these students receive a double degree from Freiberg University (Germany) and from UPEC. The master has more developed cooperation with the following Universities: Carlos III (Spain), Saint-Louis (Belgium) Torino and Sienna (Italy), FON-Belgrade (Serbia), Economic Faculty of Warsaw (Poland), Los Andes (Colombia), Yokohama (Japan), Kyunghee (S. Korea). Several students with Erasmus Mundus Alrakis 2 scholarships are also accepted in the Master. All courses of the curriculum are taught in English. No specific requirement in terms of TOEIC. English proficiency is assessed by the teachers in the course of admission interviews. No requirement in terms of French language. The curriculum includes courses of French language (DELCIFE) at different levels. Learning outcome The Master IES prepare the students to handle concepts and tools necessary for a deep understanding of international economic issues. It also provides students with an introduction to econometrics and helps them deal with large databases (microeconomic surveys and macroeconomic datasets). 3 MASTER 2 INTERNATIONAL BIOMETRICS Computer Science, Computer Vision & Biometrics Sciences and Technology Master 2 of Biometrics (online learning is possible) Generally speaking, Biometrics is a science applied in numerous fields such as security, healthcare, video games, transports, etc. technical consultant, software system analyst, biometric systems engineer, software application developer, computer vision system designer, etc. Application for PhD positions is also possible. Exchange students accepted. 4 years of university studies in the field of Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. Experience in Matlab, C/C++ programming languages, Basis in Digital Signal and Image Processing. This program is entirely taught in English A good English level is required (academic certification not mandatory). Basic knowledge is recommended (but not mandatory). This Master is a one-year program corresponding to the fifth year of university studies. The content of this program deals with main techniques, used to extract and process digitally, human body characteristics, including physical and behavioural features. Moreover, this Master allows students to acquire important skills through some key lectures, such as: Person Identification, verification, face recognition, fingerprint, palm-print, iris recognition, gesture analysis, motion analysis, image and video processing, feature extraction, face and body detection, behavioural biometrics, evaluation of biometric systems, computer vision, virtual and augmented reality, advanced software programming, etc. Lectures are provided in English language by international professors known in their field of application. 4 MASTER 2 Tissue, Cell & Gene Biotherapies Biology and Health Life Sciences School of Medicine (UPEC) Master of Science (Master 2) (2 nd year of master) - University Paris 13 - University Evry Val d Essonne (UEVE) Exchange students accepted. Bachelor degree plus 1 year, or graduate level or equivalent. Admission in the program is subjected to selection by an admission committee. Foreign degrees: academic level must be equivalent to the French M1 level. All lectures are provided in English. All lecture supports are available in English. Written and oral exams and dissertations are offered in either English or French. The six-month internship will take place in a scientific milieu, in which communication in English is common. In general, a good knowledge of scientific English is required. No specific requirement. French language training is provided by UPEC. admission fees are 261,10 (+ 213 students) in The main goal is to acquire the competences applicable to the field of biotherapies, including gene therapies (gene transfer, gene manipulation), cell therapies (manipulation of either stem cells or differentiated cells), immunotherapy, innovative pharmacological therapies, use of biomaterials, etc. Their implementation is based on wide ranging basic biology, and the development and transfer of biomedical research towards the realm of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. The best French specialists in each area give the lectures. The syllabus encompasses the most recent concepts, innovations and applications in the field of biotherapies. After this Master s program, successful students may either pursue a PhD Thesis, or follow a professional career in research and development in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. 5 MASTER 1 IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT B u s i n e s s & Management Faculty of Economics and Management EIFFEL SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT Master 1 - International Master in Business Management (IMBM) Exchange students accepted but in limited number. This program is designed for Englishspeaking students with a Bachelor s degree in Economics, Management and Social Sciences, but also in other disciplines. Students must have earned 180 ECTS (European credit transfer system) within the framework of a Bachelor s degree or equivalent diploma (BA/BSc honours, Licence or equivalent). Fully in English Minimum requirement English C1 (proof of a TOEFL high score (over 92), TOEIC or IELTS for non-native English-speaking candidates, not holding a degree in English. (+ 213 students) in The International Master in Business Management (First Year) - IMBM is a one year full-time program in management. It is designed to provide skills in the core areas of business administration as well as an in-depth understanding of concepts, techniques and professional applications in several disciplines of management. The curriculum encompasses advanced courses which enable candidates to make optimal management decisions in an ever more complex business environment. It is taught entirely in English and provides the opportunity to learn French at the same time. The teaching method encourages strong student involvement, through active participation, personal involvement, and team work. Class size is purposely limited (25 students) which makes courses very dialogue-driven, and all faculty members are accessible to participants. 7 MASTER 2 DEIPM (Development Economics and International Project Management) International Economics and Management Economics & Management Faculty of Economics and Management Master in Economics 2 Years * 120 ECTS * *In case of direct access to M2 : and Exchange students accepted ; partnerships for Double Masters with foreign universities: it is possible to take the first year of the Master abroad in one of our partner universities and to come back to UPEC in the second year, getting thus two master degrees. The M2 is open to students M1 diploma in economics or equivalent (Business schools graduates welcome). M1 in management studies, political science, business administration or engineering are welcome to apply. Students having a professional experience in project management are welcome to our vocational training branch (including prior training assessment). 8 DOUBLE PLUS INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS & MANAGEMENT Economics Faculty of Economics and Management Department of Economics Bachelor in Economics and Management (one semester (30 credits) at FSEG + one semester in exchange) Exchange students accepted in limited number. Students must have earned 120 ECTS (European credit transfer system) within the framework of a Bachelor degree or equivalent diploma (BA/BSc honours, Licence or equivalent). This program is designed for English-speaking students with two years of a Bachelor degree in Economics, Management and Social Sciences. Erasmus students must be completing an Economics or Business administration curriculum in their own university. This program is taught in English. Minimum requirement English (B2) None, but basic knowledge is recommended. French language training available on Campus. admission fees are 189,10 (+ 213 students) in This selective program is designed for good students who have completed two years of studies in Economics, are capable of attending lectures in English, and who are open minded to international exchanges. It is taught in English and provides the opportunity to learn French at the same time. This high quality Bachelor degree curriculum offers the students the possibility to apply for any Economics master and most Management masters curricula. This degree provides students a strong background in economics and students are given the opportunity to enrich their studies by doing a semester at a partner university. It requires more individual involvement than the standard curriculum in France and fewer hours of class attendance. More time is devoted to individual homework as well as teamwork : papers to read before class meets, oral presentations, etc. Students should work on their own as in American or English Universities. The students participate in small classes specially dedicated to the program. These classes mix French and international students. The lectures are taught in English (or under English tutoring).
