PBC INTERGROUP BUSINESS MEETING MINUTES May 8, 2013 Open Meeting ----------------- Serenity Prayer ----------------- Read 12 Traditions Start time: 6:15 pm Attendance: 41 Declaration of Unity: This we owe to AA s future: To place our common welfare first; to keep our fellowship united. For on AA unity depend our lives; and the lives of those to come. Introduction of new reps: Kai rep for 3:30 Happy Hour/Oasis; Don- rep for Sat evening Recovery in LW Chairperson: Gary B: Steve Y our former chair his mom passed away this past weekend and Gary had cards to pass around for signature. Good evening, welcome to the Palm Beach County Intergroup Business Meeting and especially to the newly elected Trusted Servants who are assuming their new position since their selection over the past 2 months. We are truly Grateful for your Service In order not to disrupt the meeting please turn off or silence your cell phone. The minutes of this meeting will be e-mailed to our Registrar, Roger B. with 48hrs after this meeting. In order to accomplish this, would all Officers, Committee Chairperson's, and Liaison's please e-mail your report to our Secretary, Deb. M.; her e-mail address is bluecrest823@msn.com, immediately after this meeting if you have not already done so. If not received by Deb by 6PM on Friday the report will be marked as not submitted and the minutes will be closed for distribution. In the future, please make every attempt to send your report to Deb prior to this meeting to give her a head start on assembling the minutes. If anyone wishes to submit a motion, to be included on the June 2013 agenda under New Business, it needs to be submitted to me by 6PM on May 15, 2013, my e-mail address is heartofaunicorn@gmail.com. To our new Reps and Alternates please make that your fill out a green card and give it to out Registrar, Roger B., before you leave tonight. We have 1 motion under New Business and that motion also will change our By-Laws. Which means that it must appear on the agenda for 2 months before coming to a vote. So therefore, we will bring this motion to a vote in June. This month the motion will be placed on the table and questions will be entertained to clarify any question. We will not be discussing the motion this month but feel free to ask any question that you wish in order to explain it to your Group. An informed Group Conscious is our ultimate goal. We will be conducting selections, in accordance with the Third Legacy Procedure, to fill the 3 unfilled service positions currently vacant. Please pray how you may be of service to our Intergroup. We had a surplus for the month of $2,185.20. The final profit from the Old-Timers

Spaghetti Dinner was $3,061.40. Overall, the Intergroup s finances are strong. Thank you for all of the individual and group contributions that make our mission possible. Also, Gary B is now a co-signer on the account. Pass the basket in accordance with our 7 th Tradition Secretary: Deb M. Please get reports to me as soon as practical so that the minutes go to the Registrar in a timely manner. Registrar: Roger B. The minutes were e-mailed to the database as per the By-Laws of PBC Intergroup. The minutes were sent to the database upon receipt from the Secretary. The database was updated after the last Intergroup Meeting. Transition of the databases and procedures between the outgoing Registrar and the incoming Registrar was completed. Thanks, Roger B. Office Manager: Ed B Total Office Activity for April was an even 700. This was 4 more than last year, and 70 less than last month. The season is definitely over and summer is a coming. The General Service District 8 Special Needs Committee will have a workshop this Saturday at 2 PM on carrying the message to alcoholics with special needs. They will have plenty of coffee and snacks. We currently carry a wide variety of Grapevine literature as well as AA Conference Approved literature and CD s. We are open from 9 to 5 Monday to Friday, and on Saturday from 9:30 to 1:30. He just showed me the operation and might even let me help(joking).
