Open Meeting with The Serenity Prayer: 3. Reading of the 12 Steps, 12 Traditions, and 12 Concepts 4. Review of Minutes: Accepted 5. Rep. (V), Policy & Administration (A/U) Outreach (V) 6. Trusted Servants Reports: Area Chair PRESENT - Rich L. 1. Reminder: This month is election month for all area positions. I hope all the GSRs listened closely to their groups discussion and are ready to carry their conscience as we vote. Also, please remember that any positions not filled this month are still open for nomination and election until they are filled. I encourage everyone to examine their recovery and decide if it is their time to serve. 2. From our guidelines: ARTICLE V Election of Trusted Servants SECTION IV: All Trusted Servants shall be elected by a majority vote of the LMHANA voting members present at the ASC and serve for a minimum term of one year. Elected Trusted Servants transitional responsibilities shall begin at the end of the ASC at which they were elected with a cooperative thirty-day transitional period between the outgoing and in-coming Trusted Servants. The new Trusted Servants take full responsibility for their positions at the end of the ASC following their election. No Trusted Servant shall be eligible to serve more than two terms consecutively in the same position. Any Trusted Servant elected to fill a vacancy in mid-course of a position s term shall serve in that position until the October elections. Six or more months served in a mid-term election shall be considered a full term towards the eligibility to serve two consecutive years. SECTION V: Notice of service position vacancies shall be made to all LMHANA Home Groups for no less than one month so that nominations to fill vacancies can occur equally. Nominations to fill a vacancy in a service position shall occur one month after a vacancy arises. In the case of a vacancy of the Area Chairperson, the Area vice Chair shall assume the duties of the Area Chair until the start of the next regular ASC meeting, where the new Area Chair will be elected as first order of business. 3. Four remaining packages of hope for Start to Live 32 distributed to home groups represented at ASC that have not previously received one. Groups to decide what to do if any of these still remain. The STL chair notified me to return the other 15 packages that we received as duplicates and I will do so at the convention site. 4. And finally, our service prayer: 1
3 God, grant us the knowledge that we may act according to your divine precepts. Instill in us a sense of your purpose, make us servants of your will and grant us a bond of selflessness that this may truly be your work, not ours, so that no addict, anywhere, need die from the horrors of addiction.
