Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students (GSFS) at SNU This catalogue aims to provide students with the essential information necessary to make the important decision of embarking as a Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students (GSFS) at Seoul National University. As SNU strives to share both cultural and advanced academic knowledge with international students through joint research, this Graduate Scholarship for Foreign Students is offered to graduates from select universities in East, Southeast, and Central Asia to help them achieve their dream of continuing graduate studies at an internationally renowned university. (Please see page 9 for a list of eligible universities.) Studying at SNU requires dedication and diligence but it also offers many rewards including opportunities to meet life-long friends, new cultural experiences, and develop self confidence and skills which will help you throughout your life. In order to provide more equal opportunities for foreign students, the applying method is as the following: For students who wish to apply for GSFS, s/he should first go through the application process for foreign students at http://admission.snu.ac.kr. While Office of International Affairs deals with GSFS, Office of Admissions is in charge of admission application. After submitting your admission applications online, please send your scholarship application for the GSFS to Office of International Affairs. <Tuition Support> Application fee & Tuition Duration Application Fee for admission. The application fee ( 90,000) should be paid online as you apply for admission. GSFS does not cover application fee for admission. Entire tuitions will be waived as long as the students to maintain average grade point of 3.0/4.3. 2 academic years (4 semesters) 4

<Selection Criteria> Selections will be based on student s overall academic progress, records of past studies, study plan, personal statement, other achievement records and financial needs by each college. <Accommodation> Applicants have the option of living on campus at the Gwanak-sa dormitory and Yeongeon dormitory. Applications for accommodation should be directed to the relevant dormitory office during the student selection period. Applicants should apply online at the Gwanak-sa homepage at http://dorm.snu.ac.kr or the Yeongeon dormitory homepage at http://snudorm.clubmd.net.
