2 Eligibility 1. Master's Programs and Combined Master s / Doctoral Programs International applicants must meet all of the following requirements: 1 He or she holds (or is about to hold) a Bachelor s degree 2 He or she is not a citizen of Korea 3 His or her parents are not citizens of Korea 2. Doctoral Programs International applicants must meet all of the following requirements: 1 He or she holds (or is about to hold) a Master s degree 2 He or she is not a citizen of Korea 3 His or her parents are not citizens of Korea 3. Eligibility for language proficiency (Master s Programs, Doctoral Programs, Master s and Combined Master s/ Doctoral Programs) Applicants must provide one of the following as proof of language proficiency: 1 Korean proficiency: A "TOPIK" certificate for level 3 or higher 2 English proficiency: A score report from a recognized English proficiency test (TOEFL - PBT 550, CBT 210, ibt 80, IELTS 5.5, TEPS 550, TOEIC 700 or higher) 3 Be a native English speaker 4 A confirmation letter of English or Korean proficiency issued by the department after the initial admission interview. No certificates are required if an academic advisor submits a Certificate of employment. 3. Verification documents A. For whom : Final successful applicants B. Required documents : Successful applicants should submit one of ➀,➁,➂ required documents ➀ Apostille Certificate of your previous academic documents ➁ Verified by the Korean Embassy in other countries or the Embassy in Korea ➂ Confirmation from the China Academic Degree & Graduate Education Development Center(Only for applicants who hold a degree from universities in China) Applicants who graduated from universities in Korea can submit copy of the degree. Application Fee : 60,000 (Korean currency) 1. Application fee should be paid using the online payment system. 2. If you don't pay the application fee during the application period, the application will be cancelled. 3. You can get the application number after payment of the application fee. NOTE: It is impossible to revise the contents of the application after payment. Scholarships(KNU International Graduate Scholarships) and Benefits 1. Qualifications: Recommended applicants after having reviewing documents and interview from applied department 2. Number : within 70 applicants per semester 3. Procedure

Benefits: 100% of tuition fees B. Support Period: 1 Master s & Doctoral programs: Maximum two (2) years 2 Combined Master s & Doctoral program: Maximum four (4) years C. Scholarships will be reviewed after every semester and continuation of a scholarship into another semester is not guaranteed. Important notes for Applicants 1. All documents should be in Korean or English. Documents in another language should be accompanied by a notarized Korean or English translation. 2. If any required documents are found to be false or counterfeit, your application will be canceled. 3. Any applicant submitting a certificate of expected graduation must submit the original copy of the graduation certificate before beginning their first semester at KNU. 4. The Office of International Affairs is not responsible for application cancellation due to incorrect contact information (such as address and phone number). 5. If an applicant s visa is not issued or is rejected his or her application will be canceled. 6. Applicants receiving a scholarship from another institution are not required to submit a certificate of financial guarantee; however, they must submit a certificate/letter from the institution confirming that they will pay your tuition during your period of study at KNU. 7.
