The Carolina College Advising Corps has charged her with the task of creating a college-going culture at Northwest. They have had many college admissions counselors from around the state to visit, speak with and also accept our students into their institutions. Using a best match-best fit model, students are enrolling in colleges around the state of North Carolina and beyond. During College Application Week this year, 60 percent of our seniors applied to at least 1 college or university. Whether they attend a 2 or 4-year institution, enter the military or workforce; ensuring students have a plan and are prepared for life after graduation is her top priority. Working with the students and staff of Northwest Halifax High School is truly a pleasure for her.
