Introduction 1.1 Disclaimer of Warranty Bosch Security Systems, Inc. makes no representations or warranties, either expressed or implied, by or with respect to anything in this document, and shall not be liable for any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or for any indirect, special or consequential damages. 1.2 Purpose The purpose of the Service Pack Release Letter document is to communicate major new features and changes in this release of the product. It also documents component compatibility, workarounds, and any feature restrictions. 1.3 Scope This document describes the Service Pack release which includes the following components: Component Version MIC550Main.G4i 2.12.00.07 FPGA_MIC_SC_Biphase_550.G4i 3.03.00.01 1.4 Installation Requirements Before installing the MIC550Main.G4i (version 2.12.00.07) you must check the version of the FPGA currently on your MIC 550. If the version of the FPGA on the MIC 550 is release 2.02 or earlier, you must first update the FPGA using the FPGA_MIC_SC_Biphase_550.G4i file before updating the system controller with the MIC55Main.G4i file. To check the FPGA version: 1. Issue the AUX 66 ON command from a keyboard or other control device connected to the MIC 550. This command displays the initial firmware version screen on a monitor connected to the MIC 55. 2. While the initial firmware version screen is visible, issue the AUX 66 ON command a second time to expand the list of firmware installed on the MIC 550. 3. Note the release version of the FPGA. If the version of the FPGA is 2.02 or earlier you must install the FPGA_MIC_SC_Biphase_550.G4i file before updating the system controller. It is recommended to extract both files in this service pack to the same directory and to use the Configuration Tool for Imaging Devices to upload both files to the camera. 2. About This Service Pack Release This is an Engineering Release of the firmware components identified section 1.3.
