MAKING A CHECKLIST DO YOU have a 2.7 IU CGPA? Look at your unofficial transcript to check have a 3.0 Pre-Nursing GPA? Look back at the GPA we just calculated!
ADMISSION CRITERIA WHAT IS THE SON LOOKING AT WHEN I APPLY? Start with 100% 50% = Math/Science GPA BIOL-N261 (R) MATH-M118 (R), and Life & Physical Science 30% = General Education GPA ENG-W131 (R), PSY-B110 (R), SOC-R100 (R), and COMM-R110 Cultural Understanding Arts & Humanities 20% = TEAS Exam How are you doing so far?
WHEN CAN YOU APPLY? If you want to be considered for a Fall Start Date, you must complete your pre-reqs the PREVIOUS Spring. Apply between Jan 15-Mar 15 If you want to be considered for a Spring Start Date, you must complete your pre-reqs the previous Summer Session II Apply between July 15-Sept 15 EX: To be eligible for Fall 2014, you must complete pre-reqs by the end of the Spring 2014 semester. You would submit your application between Jan 15-Mar 15, 2014, while you are completing the courses.
SOME TRICKS OF THE TRADE Did you know If you don t like your grade in your science elective, take another one count your best when you apply! A satisfactory grade means a C or better Be careful though, the second completed attempt grade will be used when a course is repeated (even if it is lower!) If you have space for additional courses, you will also need Physiology and Microbiology to graduate
FYI DO YOU HAVE TRANSFER CREDITS? Nursing puts students into categories A, B, C A = students who have completed 50%+ of their nursing pre-reqs @ IUPUI, IUB, IUPUC B = students who have completed 50%+ of their prereqs at another IU campus C = students who have completed 50%+ of their prereqs at a non IU campus BOTTOM LINE you NEED to be Category A! You WANT to be Category A! You CAN become Category A! Category A means that you have at least 15 credits for the application from IUPUI, IUB, IUPUC!!!!!!!!!
