Detailed Process for Licensing Enterprise Alpha NVR A. Accessing the Website After you have installed the Enterprise software: 1. Log in to the Honeywell Software Licensing Delivery Tool through this link: https://honeywelllicensing.subscribenet.com/ or go to www.honeywellvideo.com and select Customer Resources, then select Register Products. o If you don t have an ID and password, contact software-licensing.support@honeywell.com or call Customer Service at 1 800 323 4576. o If you have lost your password, use the "Password Finder" link at the bottom of the Honeywell Software Licensing Delivery Tool's main page, enter your email address and your password and a login ID will be emailed to you. 2. If your order to Honeywell was placed through a Distributor, follow the steps below to register your order; otherwise skip to Step 3. On the Order History screen, select the Register Order link on the Left Navigation Menu. a. Type in your Order ID and Authorization Code (refer to the Order Information that you have received). b. Click Submit. You will receive a message thanking you for registering your device. c. Click on the "Order History" link on the Left Navigation Menu. 3. On the Order History screen, select the Order Number (refer to the Order Information that you have received). 4. Click Licenses for this Order. Alpha LMS Username and Alpha LMS Password are shown and should be noted down. 5. Click on Enterprise Alpha NVR under Licensing on the Left Navigation Menu. Click on the Alpha LMS link shown on the screen to open the below webpage Log on using the Alpha LMS Username and Alpha LMS Password provided to you in step 4 above. 2 Username and Password are case sensitive. For security reasons, ensure that you do NOT ask Windows to remember (save) your password. B. Transferring from Website to Hardware 1. License to Hardware The USB Key Hardware ID can be retrieved from each USB Key (HE16SWL, HE32SWL, HE64SWL, HEIPSWL and HERASK) License Manager (for NVR/DVS/Workstation-specific licenses ) Retrieve the hardware ID from the NVR unit or workstation using License Manager of the unit. Select Transaction from the License Manager menu. Select Local hardware ID to file.
3 Write down the number displayed or Save to a file. This number will be used to obtain the license from the website. Each USB Key has a unique Hardware ID. Some licenses cannot be retrieved once assigned to a USB Key, so be careful when assigning licenses. In the TRANSFER LICENSES section on the left hand side, select To a Hardware.
4 The following screen appears. Enter the Hardware ID of the USB Key, for which you would like to transfer licenses, in the box next to Destination Hardware ID or browse to the hardware ID file (*.ahw) you have saved. Then select Transfer. The following screen appears. The site only displays licenses that can be assigned to the particular device to which the hardware ID belongs. Select the number of licenses you would like to transfer to this particular USB Key, then click Transfer.
5 Double check the number of licenses you want to transfer to each key as some licenses may not be reassigned back to the website. The following screen appears, allowing you to save these license strings to a file that can be loaded onto the key via the NVR unit or workstation. Select Transfer to create one or more license strings to move to the NVR unit or workstation. Transfer the license string(s) either by copying and pasting or by saving to a file. Use License Manager on the NVR unit or workstation to transfer the license(s). License Manager (for Encoder-specific licenses )
6 Retrieve the hardware ID for the Encoder using the NVR unit from VXManager of the unit. Select the encoder from the displayed list. Select # from the Icon menu. Write down the number displayed or Save to file. This number will be used to obtain the license from the website. Each USB Key has a unique Hardware ID. Some licenses cannot be retrieved once assigned to a USB Key, so be careful when assigning licenses. Under the TRANSFER LICENSES section on the left hand side, select To a Hardware. The following screen appears.
7 Enter the Hardware ID of Encoder, for which you would like to transfer licenses, in the box next to Destination Hardware ID or browse to the hardware ID file (*.ahw) you have saved. Select Transfer. The following screen appears.
8 Select the number of licenses you would like to transfer to this particular Encoder, then click Transfer. Double check the number of licenses you want to transfer to each Encoder as it requires more work to fix an error at this stage. Transfer the license string(s) either by copying and pasting or by saving to a file. Use VXManager on the NVR unit to transfer the license(s) to the encoder.
9 C. Transferring from Hardware to Website 1. If you have already downloaded a license to a USB Key or Encoder but want to change it, you need to upload the license(s) back to the website before reassigning. This is only allowed on version 54 software or higher. Use the License Manager or VXManager on the NVR unit or workstation you wish to remove licenses from: Enter the number of each license you wish to remove and upload. Then go to Transaction and choose Export from Local Station to Alpha@LMS. Confirm the choice and save the (*.rlic) file. Saving the file to a USB memory stick is the most convenient. 2. Log back into the website via any PC with Internet access. In the TRANSFER LICENSES section, select From Hardware to Pool.
