INTRODUCTION Accademia d Arti Discanto was founded in September 1993, inspired by ideas collected during a previous long experience in music and arts, with the intention of providing an innovative approach to teaching and a novel approach to the existing cultural and artistic offerings. The name Discanto, an early form of polyphonic singing that dates back to the eleventh century, is meant to symbolize all the people that, with their uniqueness and individuality, have been committed to create the Academy, contributing to its growth, creating and working together. The consistency with the original ideas, the high-level professional skills, along with a particular attention to the efficiency of the organization, are the criteria that were chosen aiming to provide the opportunity to understand the importance for anyone wish to explore the world of music and culture. The main element of the program is the harmonious development of the studies, and especially, the opportunity of interrelationship between the various artistic and educational materials. Over the years, the Academy has developed and expanded, with the maturation of significant experiences and collaborations, always adjusting all the educational, artistic, cultural and social programs to the changing needs of the world today.
