2 INTERNATIONAL MUSIC MASTER CLASSES INTRODUCTION The Associazione Abruzzese Amici della Musica together with Comune di Ortona organize the International Music Master Classes, within the Festival Abruzzo Musica, to contribute to the young musician s education. Master Classes are designed to refine specialization and to promote the highest standard of performance. Moreover they are devoted to sustaining and developing the theoretical and practical study of music through continuous education and professional training of the students together with internationally known musicians. RULES FOR THE COURSES 1. The International Music Master Classes, held by famous musicians and organized by the Associazione Abruzzese Amici della Musica, in cooperation with Comune di Ortona, are open to Italian and foreign musicians. 2. All Master Classes can be attended as regular students or auditors (as enclosed form). 3. It is necessary to send the application form on plain paper 15 days before the beginning of the Master Classes to the following address: Segreteria International Musica Master Classes, Associazione Abruzzese Amici della Musica, Villa Martelli 203/C Lanciano Ch (Italy), or by at info@abruzzomusica.it, together with the receipt for payment of the associative quota of Euros 50,00 (not refundable) for each student, to be paid in bank account IBAN IT94 E , Code BIC-SWIFT BCITITMX, registered to Associazione Abruzzese Amici della Musica. 4. The application form must be completed and handed in with the required documents (see enclosed form), otherwise the form will be annulled. Every student must send, along with the application form, the personal programme they want to study during the Master Class. 5. The attendance fee and the associative quota must be paid in euros and not in foreign currency. Transaction commission or currency exchange charges are to be paid by the student. 6. The attendance fee entitles the student to have a minimum of 5 individual lessons and must be paid on the first regular day of lessons. It is not divisible and it will not be refunded if the pupil drops out. People registered at the Flute Ensemble Masterclass are entitled to have one individual flute lesson within the Flute Masterclass. Students registered at different Masterclasses must pay the associative quota only once. 7. All the associates must arrive in Ortona at the Master Classes Secretary placed in Teatro F.PTosti, at Piazza Garibaldi, 1, by 10am on the first day of the Master Class with their identity card and health care insurance document. 8. Every teacher will choose the students who will partecipate to the final concert. 9. In case of television or radio broadcasts or the recording of the programmes of exams or concerts, the candidates have no right to claim any credit or financial demands on the broadcasting agency with regards to the free broadcast of the recorded programme. Partecipation to the Master Classes means a tacit agreement with the above statement. 10. Every student will receive an attendance certificate issued by the Association and signed by the Professor, the President of the Association and by a officer of Ortona municipality. Every auditor will receive a participation certificate. 11. All the students will be informed of any change due to circumstances beyond our control. 12. Particularly talented students will be invited to perform by the Associazione Abruzzese Amici della Musica within the 2013 musical season and to perform with the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzo Musica which will hold a Tour in China from December 15 th 2012 to January 8 th In case of discrepancies in the translated version of these rules the Italian text will be considered official.
