Exposure to extreme and often hazardous industrial environments requires exceptional safety performance, which we deliver time after time. 08
Health and safety Safety is at the heart of everything we do. Individually, our component divisions each have exemplary safety records, which have consistently exceeded industry standards. Motherwell Bridge, for example, is one of the few companies to have been awarded the RoSPA Order of Distinction (presented to organisations achieving a minimum of 15 consecutive Gold Awards) and the President s Award (presented to organisations achieving a minimum of ten consecutive Gold Awards) in addition to winning the British Safety Council National Safety Award five years in succession. Together, we ll continually explore ways to improve safety, bringing totally incident and injury-free working environments within reach. Your project really couldn t be in safer hands. Environmental (CES) provides specialist cleaning technologies which help its range of blue chip clients both operate their plants more efficiently and reduce environmental impact. Awarded the RoSPA Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety since 2008, CES invests in automated cleaning systems to remove employees from hazardous environments and manual tasks. Competency of individuals is key in delivering safety and this is demonstrated in our achievement of the City & Guilds accreditation for the Competency Assessment Scheme, a first for the industrial cleaning sector. With no external organisation able to provide a suitable assessment process because of the specialist nature of the work that CES does CES developed its own, in-house scheme with both classroom and on-the-job assessments. The City & Guilds accreditation gives independent verification to the process, and is yet another sign of the investment that CES is continuing to make in terms of training and development. It s clear that CES wish to deliver high quality training and competency assessments, and early feedback from the first participants is highly encouraging, says Gary Woolton from City & Guilds. York Linings (YL) is the world s leading authority for the design, engineering and installation of refractory linings for the aluminium, steel, power, oil and gas markets. Our independence allows YL to propose and source the optimum refractory solution for our clients needs. Our engineering department is governed by a comprehensive training and competency programme which Assurance Mark is audited by Achilles. YL has also been a member of the British Safety Council for twelve consecutive years which further demonstrates our commitment to HSSEQ management. Assurance Mark BSI Assurance Marks.
