1. Introduction Central Management System or Network Video Management System (NVMS) are consists of three sub-programs. The main function are, Control multiple DVR from different location through network connection. Search and playback video from remote DVR unit. Download video from remote DVR unit. CUConfig Add DVR to CMS CUMonitor Live Monitor from remote DVR CUPlayer Search, playback and download video from remote DVR. 2
2. Install CMS/NVMS Software Execute NVMSXXX_setup.exe to start installation. Click Next in each follow windows to continue installation NVMS(CMS). 3
Select Complete and click Next to continue installation. NVMS need SQL server, please click Next continue installation. 4
Configure Database parameter, please remember default login name is root and password is SPACE. 127.0.0.1:3306 is man local PC Configure CMS (NVMS) service port, by default is 8002,8000,8001,8003. 5
Configure Service unique identification SN: cms_0001 Configure NRU service parameter; click Next to continue. Configure NRU database parameter 6
Configure NRU service port. By default is 10000, 10001, and 10002 Configure NRU service unique identification SN: nrm_0001 Final step, click CMS service and NRU service to start CMS. 7
After execute RNU service and CMS service, the system try will show two icon. 8
3. Create DVR Device 3.1Add DVR to CMS 1 Run CUConfig.exe, select "System" "Connect", type in IP address, port and administrator account (Default password for root is blank.) of CMS to enter the system. 127.0.0.1 mean local PC Select "Devices" "Device Management" page at "Navigation panel" to manage the Device, as shown, as the figure below. 9
2 Select DVR/DVS tab from left window. Click "Add" button, Pop-up the "Add Device" dialog box, the device registration information will be displayed in the dialog box, as the figure below. Type in the IP address, port, device kind, device SN, device name, username, password of the device. After setting, click OK. If the above-mentioned information is correct and the device runs well, the target device and its status online will appear in Device Management All devices or DVR/DVS. Note SN is the unique ID of every device. For DVR/DVS, the DVR/DVS serial number is its Mac address ( MAC address can be found via IE explorer to login DVR/DVS. There are 3 kinds of input format for DVR/DVS device MAC address, including: 00:00:2a:18:de:e8 00-00-2a-18-de-e8 00002a18dee8 10
The above 3 kinds of device MAC address can be recognized by NVMS. Device port is its communication signal port for DVR/S devices, the default port is 5050. 3.2DVR Automatically Register to CMS (1) DVR can configure to automatically register to CMS, enable this function from DVR local menu. Main Menu Network Advance Auto Register, set On Click >> icon input CMS IP address, Server Port: 8003 and time interval. (2) Select Device management Device can be created page. Select device from the list and click Add icon. Input the user name and password of DVR to register DVR to CMS. 11

Click OK will add this DVR to CMS. 3.3Edit/delete existent DVR 1 Select the target device, click Modify button, the dialogue Modify Device will pop up, the device gateway info. IP address, device port, device name, username, password etc. can be edited in this dialogue. 2 Chose the target device, then click the delete button, system will inform you if it confirm to delete this device, clicking confirm button will delete this device from the CMS, then this device will not be controlled by CMS. Note: deleted device can be added to CMS again through adding device operation; the concrete operation is same to Creating new device 13
4. Monitor Multiple DVR 4.1Introduction CUMonitor can create video channel groups from multiple DVR which locate in different place. Each group can display in single full screen or 4/6/8/10/16/36 and maximum 64 video channel in the same. 4.2Operate Run CUMonitor.exe, select "System" "Connect", type in IP address, port and administrator account (Default password for root is blank.) of CMS to enter the system. 127.0.0.1 mean local PC 14
Right click on tool bar will pop-up menu for tools bar setting. Please open all tools bar. 4.3Create Video Group Click Create icon on Video Group Panel to add new video group. All available DVR channel was list in Equipment Panel on the top-left side. Click video group first and move mouse to select DVR channel, then Drag & Drop video channel to right side window. Or double-click the DVR to add all channels to right window. Click on top of the window to remove all video channels from monitor window. 15
4.4Rename, Delete and Save Video Group Click video group first and click Rename, Delete icon to delete or rename the video group. Click Save can save all video group to CMS database. 5. Video Search and Download 5.1Introduction CUPlayer can search video from remote DVR s storage device. User can pre-define Time or Event condition before search video from remote DVR. Moreover CUPlayer can playback and download video from remote DVR. Maximum 4 channel can playback at the same time. 5.2Operate Run CUPlayer.exe, select "System" "Connect", type in IP address, port and administrator account (Default password for root is blank.) of CMS to enter the system. 16

5.3Search Video (1) Select the target DVR from Equipment Panel, click the check box on each channel from any DVR. Maximum 4 channels can select at the same time. (2) Select Front-end equipment from Position item at Search Panel. (3) Select Event Type, Timing, Move Detect, Alarm. Input Date and Time, click Start Search to search video from remote DVR. 18
(4) Click icon will move to center position time-line of searched record video. Click icon will show all searched record video time-line; click icon to zoom in and icon to zoom out the time-line. Click icon can jump to previous page of time-line, click icon will move long reward ; click icon will move short reward; click icon will move short forward; click icon will long forward; click icon will move to next page of time-line. (5) Double click on any position on time-line can mark the start or end time of cycle play. (6) Click playback control key to view the video. 5.4Download Video (1) Select Options from tools bar, find Settings page, select the folder to save the download video. (2) Select channel number from time-line before download video, one channel each time. (3) Click Video Download icon will start downloading video from remote DR. 19
6. Alarm 6.1DVR upload alarm to CMS Each remote DVR must enable alarm upload function and Auto Register function before CMS to monitor alarm. (1) DVR Local Menu Alarm Event Handling, check upload (2) DVR Local Menu Network Advance page Set Auto Register On and Input CMS IP address and port number:8003 6.2Alarm Input When DVR have alarm input trigged, DVR will send message to CMS. Alarm tool bar at top of CUMonitor window will display how many alarm happened in real-time. Click alarm icon can open alarm signal detail window. From CUConfig window, use search alarm history. Click Alarm from left window. 20
6.3Alarm Output From CuConfig window, User can control alarm output (relay output) at remote DVR. Click Alarm from left window, and select Alarm input and output page click Alarm output All available alarm output from remote DVR will display in the list and show the current status of the alarm output (relay output). Click Switch to change the status of the alarm output (relay output). 21
