How to Add HealthCentral to Your Safe Senders List Due to the growing problem of unsolicited and unwanted commercial emails, many web mail services and email applications have taken measures to automatically filter bulk emails. Unfortunately, these filters end up blocking many newsletters and legitimate emails in addition to spam. We recommend that you take the steps outlined below to help ensure that HealthCentral mailings actually reach you. Even if you are currently receiving our mailings, we still advise you to follow these steps as a way to prevent future problems. Please scroll down to find your preferred email service and follow the instructions below to add HealthCentral (from email: newsletters@n.healthcentral.com or domain: @n.healthcentral.com) to your safe senders list. Adding trusted email addresses to your safe senders list, also known as whitelist, enables them to pass through your spam filter or junk folder and into your inbox. For the most part, you're simply adding HealthCentral to your contact list which tells your email service that you want to receive our emails. Top Email Service Instructions: AOL You will need to add our From address, newsletters@n.healthcentral.com to your AOL address book: Gmail 1. Click the Mail menu and select Address Book 2. Once loaded, cut and paste newsletters@n.healthcentral.com into the Other Email field 3. Make our From address the Primary Email address by checking the associated check box 4. Click the Save button You will need to add our From addresses, newsletters@n.healthcentral.com, to your Gmail Contacts List: 1. Click Contacts along the left side of any Gmail page 2. Click Add Contact 3. Copy and paste our From address, newsletters@n.healthcentral.com into the primary email address dialog box. 4. Click Save
Hotmail You will need to add our From addresses, newsletters@n.healthcentral.com, to your Hotmail Safe List: Yahoo! 1. Open your mailbox and click Options (upper right hand corner) 2. Click the Junk Email Protection link (top of page) 3. Select the Safe List link (2nd from bottom) 4. Copy and paste newsletters@n.healthcentral.com into the dialog box titled Type an address or domain 5. Click the Add button next to the dialog box You will need to set up a filter to redirect our mailing into your inbox: 1. Open your mailbox and click on Mail Options (upper right hand corner) 2. Select Filters (bottom left corner) 3. Click the Add link on the Filters page 4. Update the From header rule with the following 2 pieces of information: "contains" and n.healthcentral.com. This essentially allows the mail server to identify our mailing based on the email From address. 5. Click the Choose Folder pull down menu and select Inbox 6.
