Work will include replacement with a new conventional relaybased interlocking and the construction of new relay rooms to house all associated equipment. This project will modernize and improve the reliability of the West 4th Street interlocking located on the IND 6th Avenue Line in the borough of Manhattan. Work will include replacement with a new conventional relaybased interlocking and the construction of new relay rooms to house all associated equipment. This project will utilize the documentation and test facilities developed under the Culver Test Track project to develop and qualify additional interoperable CBTC suppliers. Culver Test Track Project technical documentation will be provided to these additional suppliers as soon as it is mature enough to be released. These suppliers systems and subsystems will be tested to all of the requirements (both on the interoperability test facility and test track) developed under the Culver Test Track Project. This project is the first phase of the installation of Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) on the Queens Boulevard Line in the boroughs of Queens and Manhattan. The extent of the project is from 50th St. in Manhattan to Union Turnpike in Queens. This project will provide a base communications infrastructure to support a multitude of projected technology initiatives that will improve security, fare collection, customer communications and service delivery. This project will provide ventilation for 19 communication rooms at multiple locations in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx to meet NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code's prescriptive requirement for hydrogen gas concentration thresholds. This project will install Public Address and Customer Information Screens (PA/CIS) at 87 stations system wide. These are the only remaining stations without any form of PA/CIS system. The systems to be installed under this project will feature digital audio and digital text-messaging capabilities, and will be connected to the NYCT communications network. This project will also upgrade older station public address systems, install customer information screens at stations that currently lack them, and implement one or more technologies to identify the location of trains. This project will replace NYC Transit's and MTA Bus' existing bus radio system with a new digital radio system. In addition, a new bus command center will be built at East New York. This project will replace the fire alarm system at the 207 St. Overhaul Shop, located in the borough of Manhattan. A new state-of-the-art system that ties together all of the buildings' fire protection systems will be installed. The new system will meet the National Fire Alarm Code, as well as all New York state and New York City fire codes. Work will vary by location and may include the repair or replacement of street stairs, platform edges and floors, and platform or mezzanine canopies. All deficiencies of the selected components within the stations will be eliminated. This project will provide full ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessibility at the 68th Street-Hunter College Station on the IRT Lexington Avenue Line located in Manhattan. This project will repair select elements in 2 locations; 9th Street and 59th Street Stations on the 4th Ave Line in the borough of Brooklyn. Stations include Broadway, Myrtle-Willoughby & Clinton-Washington. This project will rehabilitate 9 stations on Sea Beach line including, 8th Ave, 18th Av, 20th Ave, Fort Hamilton Parkway, Kings Highway, New Utrecht Avenue, Bay Parkway, Ave U, 86th Street, the borough of Brooklyn. All station elements will be rehabilitated during this project. Work will include rehabilitation of the street-level control houses, rehabilitation of tunnel structures supporting the control houses, replacement of one passageway enclosure and relocation of the other, relocation of one stair, replacement of platform metal stairs and canopy, and rehabilitation of platforms. In addition, station aesthetics will be remedied and artwork will be installed. This project will perform component repairs at 6 Stations on the 8th Avenue Line including 168th St, 145th St, 110th St, 103rd Rd, 50th St, and Spring Street This project will replace the platform edges at the 121 Street, 111 Street, 104 Street, Woodhaven Boulevard, Cypress Hills and Myrtle Avenue stations; repair the platform columns at the 121 Street and 104 Street stations; and replace the mezzanine to platform stairs at the 104 Street station. Work will include repair/replacement of corroded structural steel (columns and Beams), concrete and west Portal. This project is part of an on-going MTA- NYCT program to achieve a state of good repair. TBD November 2013 / January 2014 T-80276 St. George Interlocking - Phase 1 The work proposed under this project is as follows: west end of the tunnel to the east end of the station platforms on Track 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and Track NS2 up to signal SG30. The project consists of replacing all the tracks, ties, contact rail, and switches within the limits of the project.
