01 OVERVIEW GAME stands for Gaming in Asia - Managing for Excellence. This is a gaming executive development program with a focus on Asian casino jurisdictions. GAME is a 5-day intensive program designed with the aim to provide a platform: to share professional knowledge and sharpen the skills on various areas related to modern casino management in Asia, to gain valuable insights on the latest development of the industry in Asia, and to establish vital professional relationships with executives from diverse gaming houses in Asia. 1 Participants will gain a deeper understanding of Macau gaming operations and its Chinese customers, 2 Participants will receive latest professional knowledge with which to develop their future careers, 3 Participants will meet leading experts and other professionals from diverse gaming houses in Asia, 4 Participants will receive a certificate issued by University of Macau. Junior and middle-level gaming executives, regulators, and those who have an acute interest in Asian and Macao s casino gaming businesses are most welcome to enroll in GAME. This program specifically targets junior and middle-level managers working with casinos, and those working with gaming suppliers and manufacturers, investment banking, regulatory authorities, law firms, universities, and marketing companies.
OVERVIEW 02 GAME is to be held in Macao, a Special Administrative Region of China. It is jointly organized by Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management (APAEM) and the Institute for the Study of Commercial Gaming (ISCG) of Faculty of Business Administration. APAEM was established in December 2011 with the mission to establish a world-class research, executive development and advisory hub to develop regional policies and nurture the new generation of leaders for the Asia-Pacific region so that they can professionally and responsibly manage the growth and risks. ISCG was established in August 2003 as a not-for-profit gaming research and development organization. Its mission is to build bridges between gaming theories and practices that will lead to the healthy and balanced development of gaming industry in Macao and across Asia. Executives undertaking GAME will be taught by leading experts in the field of gaming. REGISTRATION 06 The standard fee for this program is USD 3,000/ MOP 24,000 per participant, which includes course materials, daily refreshments and lunches, a welcoming and a closing dinner. Those who register on or before August 8, 2014 will enjoy an early bird fee of USD 2,500/ MOP 20,000 per participant. Participants who are not familiar with the Macao gaming industry can choose to attend the Preprogram on Sunday, September 21, 2014 to get an overview of the industry before attending the regular program. The fee for the pre-program is USD 500/ MOP 4,000. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs, accommodation, and other per diem expenses. Upon the acknowledgement of acceptance of the application by the organizer (APAEM & ISCG), program fee may be paid by bank transfer or TT to University of Macau s bank account. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the program at any time and will make full refund of the program fee to the applicants. Applicants can withdraw from the program by writing a formal letter to the organizers at least 15 days from the commencement date of the program. No refund will be made to the applicants if they withdraw their enrollment less than 15 days from the commencement date of the program. Normally, the organizer will refund the full payment except the administration fee (MOP200) to the applicant under formal request. However, the organizers reserve the right to refund less than the full settled payment on their discretion.
