3 Introduction The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Office at the American University of Beirut, in coordination with the Quality, Accreditation and Risk Management Program, is launching a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) course for interested participants in Lebanon and the region. Place: Crowne Plaza Beirut Date: May 2014 This five-day condensed course is designed for healthcare professionals seeking to advance their knowledge and sharpen their skills in risk management. The course is an intensive review of the comprehensive body of knowledge that is designed to provide the participants with the required information to take the CPHRM exam. It includes healthcare risk management principles and patient safety issues presented by experts in the field who are recognized as professional risk managers. The information will be delivered through lectures, discussions, small group work, case studies, and a daily review of typical CPHRM exam questions and answers.
