Wedding General Infmation Thank you f considering the Burgundy Basin f your wedding reception. Family owned and operated f over 50 years, our experience and flexibility will help to provide you with a reception that you and your guests will remember fever. Menus The enclosed menus are offered as a guideline. The staff at the Burgundy Basin would be pleased to offer customized food menus and signature drinks tailed to your specific taste. Deposits We require a $1,000.00 deposit to secure your date. Six (6) months befe your wedding date, a second $1,000.00 deposit will be due and at 90 days, the selection of your menu. Your deposit will be applied toward your final bill at full value. In the event that your scheduled function is canceled, your deposits become property of the Burgundy Basin. Guarantees and Pricing On Saturday evenings there is a minimum dollar amount required f each room. On Friday evenings, Saturday afternoons and Sunday receptions, there is a minimum number of guest meals required. Hours f Saturday afternoons are from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm and evenings from 6:30 pm to 1:00 am. Because of the changing food market prices, menu prices are guaranteed 90 days pri to your event. We require a tentative count 10 days pri to your event and a final guarantee 24 hours befe your event. The bill will be based on the final guarantee the minimum room guarantee, if less guests than expected should attend. There is an 18% Administration Charge and 8% New Yk State Sales Tax as part of your total bill. The Administration Charge is not distributed as a gratuity to the employees who provide services. **Final payments are accepted in the fm of cashiers check, money ders cash only, NO PERSONAL CHECKS OR CREDIT CARDS are accepted. Beverage and Food Service Please note that alcoholic beverage sales are regulated by the State of New Yk and as a licensee, Burgundy Basin is responsible f administration of these regulations. It is the law that no liqu, beer wine be brought into the facility from outside sources and no one under the age of 21 will knowingly be served. We DO NOT SERVE SHOTS. All cakes and pastries must come from a Monroe County Health Department approved bakery with a copy of the Health Department Permit. There will be a $1.00 surcharge f any food item provided by an outside source. No other food items beverages may be brought into taken out of the establishment. Decations Burgundy Basin will not permit the use of any tape, staples, nails any other substances used to affix items to the walls ceiling. Please discuss with us your decation ideas and we ll help accommodate the look and feel f your special day. Wedding Reception Questions The experts don t tell you to ask. and why the Burgundy Basin is the answer f them! What kind of experience with weddings does your staff have? Our office staff alone has a combined total of over 100 years of helping couples plan their wedding day at the Burgundy Basin. Our hosts have a combined total of over 30 years experience in keeping things running smoothly the day of your reception! We also have wait staff and bartenders that have been with us f over 20 years, so with all of this combined knowledge and experience you can enjoy your day and not wry about what is going on around you as your guests are wowed with the service and food! I m looking to do a themed wedding. Can you wk with me to create a customized menu and some signature drinks? We love to do themed receptions and we are constantly creating unique menu and drink options f our guests. Does your staff wear a unifm? All of our staff is in fmal black and white unifms. We also encourage you to have your vends wear fmal attire when you are having a fmal reception. You wouldn t want your photographer wearing a baseball cap and jeans! If we have 200 people how long does it take to feed everyone? If you are having a buffet all of your guests will be served in about 20 minutes. We utilize a double sided buffet so that your guests won t have to wait in long lines and will be back to their seats quickly. The buffet does remain open f an hour so your guests have plenty of time to enjoy repeat visits! What happens if 30 extra people show up f my reception? You re in luck! Because we re an experienced, established event center, we can always handle additional guests. We re always prepared with extra food that can be quickly prepared, a surplus of tables, additional chairs and linens, along with staff to handle those surprise guests. While we would rather know ahead of time how many guests you ll have, relax in knowing that we have everything covered without ever making your guests feel uncomftable. Will my guests have to wait in line at the bar? All of our large banquet rooms as well as the Walnut Grove Pavilion have a permanent bar. This allows us to have several bartenders behind the bar at one time, thus alleviating any long waits f a drink. Is there ample Air Conditioning / Heating available f the reception space? The Burgundy Basin offers individual room climate control f you and your guest s comft. Do you cut and serve the wedding cake? Yes, we do! We actually cut the wedding cake right in the reception hall so you know you are getting every bit of the cake you paid f! The cake is served on a glass plate as dessert with full coffee and tea service, so your guests aren t trying to eat the cake off of a paper napkin! If I am having my reception in the Walnut Grove Pavilion what kind of personal facilities are there? You and your guests will have access to our indo bathroom facilities while enjoying an outdo rustic style reception. (Say yes to the dress, not the pta potty!) What type of staff will be with my reception? Each of our events have a dedicated host who will be your go to person. In addition, we fully staff the wait and bar so that your guests are taken care of. Lastly, because your event means so much to us, at least one owner will also be on site to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
