Company Overview - TAI Consulting, Inc. TAI Consulting, Inc., incorporated in 1997, was established to provide solution to the Private Club and Public Golf course market sectors. Our foundation is the TAI Club Management System software suite, the most continuously installed club software system in the United States. Milestones of importance begin in the late 1970 s when then MAI Basic Four developed the first fully integrated Club Management system. In 1994, the TAI Club Management System was the first compliant and compatible club software suite in the industry running under Microsoft Windows. After acquiring the rights and copyright in 1997, TAI has been continuously developing and improving this software. MAI Basic Four employed Mr. Michael R. Talbot, President of TAI, in 1980 and since that time he has been continuously involved in the design and development of the TAI Club Management System. With distribution covering North America, TAI Consulting, Inc. distributes its products via Direct Sales, believing that our customers are more than just a sale, but more a business partner. TAI Consulting, Inc. believes in sustained manageable growth in order to deliver the high level of products and support the industry has come to expect, and to maintain its focus solely on the Club industry. Understanding that one size does not fit all, TAI will continue to build and develop the most comprehensive and flexible software in the industry, offering specialized products that are technologically superior, customer oriented, and fully supported.
Company Philosophy With corporate headquarters in Bingham Farms Michigan, and representation in New England and California, TAI Consulting, Inc. does not focus on being the largest provider of fully integrated windows based club management software, instead the goal is to be the best. TAI Consulting, Inc. differentiates itself from the competition by acknowledging that a successful solution is much more than a sale of a software product. TAI understands that a complete solution is never supplied by a single vendor. By delivering exceptionally high quality products, services and support unmatched in the industry, and working with your hardware representative, network administrator, web services provider, TAI is uniquely able to provide the solution and results desired. Think of TAI as the Boutique Shop where consumers would go to purchase specialized goods, as opposed to the Department Store, where one purchases generic products. Delivery on this focus is accomplished by remaining customer centric and not losing focus on the fact that the club software industry needs to be as service oriented as the clubs themselves.
Product Development Software development is a process that is always in transition. New and changing technologies dictate that any software developer be flexible and focused. Adhering to industry standards is critical in developing applications that are operational today, and scalable for tomorrow. TAI Consulting, Inc. will always develop software using industry standard tools that are flexible, stable and scalable. Our product development will continue to be customer driven, for only the end user truly knows what features and functions are beneficial to their business. Installation A complete hardware profile will be completed by the client to ensure a smooth installation. Any recommendations can then be made to ensure hardware compliance. TAI prefers to do the majority of installation at the customer location, however drop shipment of hardware can be arranged to the TAI Corporate offices. Training Not enough can be said about the importance of training when it comes to systems implementation. TAI prefers to do the majority of all training at the customer location. This allows the TAI training team the opportunity to experience the operational needs first hand and make any recommendation based on that level of understanding. Other training can be done either via telephone or over the Internet using a host of tools such as PC Anywhere. Support At TAI, we understand that today's business environment is dynamic and fast paced. We also understand the printers jam, passwords are forgotten and that simply, stuff happens. We are proud of our customer support being consistently ranked as one of the top support providers in the industry. With three basic support plans, we will also work with you to create the support plan that best fits your needs.
Interface vs. Integrate According to Webster s New World Dictionary: Interface n. A point or means of interaction between two systems. Integrate v. to bring parts together into a whole. Sole-Source adj. Without another, single, one and only origin. (Really?) Best of Breed adj. Most suitable source or type. When selecting a Club Management system understanding what these words mean cannot be understated. Not just from the dictionary, but what they mean to your operation and your software vendor. Unfortunately marketing programs exist to get you to believe that their way of thinking is best, and without an equal in the industry. It is under this cloud of a self-justifying philosophy that some software providers define their own version is what is best in the industry and best for you. They want you to believe that a single source solution is the best and only way to select a software provider and those that integrate/interface are something undesirable. Some of our competitors even go as far as insinuating that they have authored 100% of their product and no third party products are used. The truth is that all these providers have to have integrated and interfaced their products. Consider the following: No club software provider manufactures their own hardware All providers interface/integrate with hardware. All providers interface/integrate with operating systems like Novell, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Linux, etc. Does this provider have their own version of Office Automation products like Microsoft Word or Lotus Notes? Or do they integrate? All developers of application software develop in a third-party language. Many providers have third-party utility programs for handing industry specific process like credit card authorization. Where does my Internet access come from? Since there is no such thing as a sole-source provider, what is it that motivate our competitors to market their products as such and disdain working with industry leaders? Is their philosophy driven by providing the best total solution or the most profitable one? TAI believes in educating our Clients to all of the possibilities and solutions that are available and allow you to determine what is best for your operation. It is an old, but true saying: one size does not fit all and this has never been as true as it is today. TAI encourages you to look at all options and not settle for a solution that pales in comparison to a solution that utilizes the expertise of industry leaders. You can never go wrong by selecting industry leaders with years of specific software design and implementation. Don t settle for a solution with a built in weakness, and don t ever settle for second best.
