Project Information Title: Project Number: Project Type: Year: 2011 Status: Marketing Text: Summary: Review and revive VET practices LLP-LDV-TOI-2011-LT-0087 Transfer of Innovation granted REVIVE VET project aimed to review and revive VET practices applying innovative ICT integration methodologies and building online communities of VET professionals, collaboratively working together, seeking to improve the quality, attractiveness and accessibility of VET services. The project addressed European priority to contribute to the development of quality lifelong learning, and to promote high performance, innovation and a European dimension in systems and practices in the field. More concretely, the project focused to improve the quality, attractiveness and accessibility of VET services. Though ICT integration into institution quality criteria on institutional, curriculum and continuous professional development levels were created. Based on the adapted case development, peer review and Revive methodologies, the tools for case development and peer review were created, tested and are openly available at the project website. Description: REVIVE VET project aimed to review and revive VET practices applying innovative ICT integration methodologies and building VET professional online quality communities. The aim of the project was reached by: 1. Implementation of analysis on existing practices, available methodologies and VET institutional needs for ICT integration. 2. Methodological development and expert community building. 3. Application of 2 Hextlearn and 1 Revive methodologies and case development. 4. Peer reviewing implementation and quality assurance awareness building. 5. Online community development by case presentation and peer reviewing implementation. The project consortium has high European expertise and skills in the areas addressed by the project objectives. 32 Institutional cases were developed and peer reviewed, adressing and expanding online communities of experts in EDEN Nap area and Lithuanian Distance and e.learning association campus. Quality criteria were agreed among international expert groups for VET institution activity measurement against EU requirements and quality schemes. These results had most impact upon VET institutions and teachers and trainers in LLL who implement distance and e.learning. Description: Peer review methodology adapted to VET sector was followed and implemented together with practical implementation steps that are also uploaded at the project files section. Target group: VET teachers, HEI teachers, practitioners. Result: Not just the methodology was adapted to VET sector, but it was also used to create tools, based on the quality criteria, for case peer review.
